Trisha Krishnan turned heads with her elegant traditional look at the wedding festivities of celebrity stylist Eka Lakhani and producer Ravi Bhagchandika in Mumbai on March 14. The celebration saw several Bollywood personalities in attendance, but Trisha’s regal ensemble and striking jewellery stood out as one of the highlights of the evening.
The actor later shared glimpses of her look on Instagram, posting a carousel of photographs with the caption, “Out and about,” accompanied by star and heart emojis.
Temple jewellery takes centre stage
For the reception, Trisha chose an elaborate set of antique gold temple jewellery, a style that reflects South India’s rich cultural heritage. The centrepiece of the look was a heavy choker paired with a long Lakshmi haram, both intricately designed with motifs of goddess Lakshmi, peacocks, and delicate floral patterns.
She paired the necklaces with matching chur bangles, featuring handcrafted details inspired by peacock and leaf motifs. The jewellery was further embellished with rubies, emeralds, and white stones, which created a vibrant contrast against the gold. The look was completed with traditional jhumka earrings and a statement ring worn on her left hand.
A classic Kanchipuram silk saree
Complementing the ornate jewellery, Trisha wore a deep purple Kanchipuram silk saree, a timeless choice for festive occasions. The saree featured a broad gold border and intricate zari work woven across the fabric, giving it a rich and regal appeal.
Styled in a traditional drape, the saree had neatly arranged pleats at the front, while the pallu flowed gracefully over her shoulder and extended elegantly towards the floor. She paired it with a matching purple blouse with half sleeves and a U-shaped neckline, detailed with golden brocade embroidery and heavy zari work.
Subtle glam for the finishing touch
Trisha kept her makeup minimal and elegant, opting for softly blushed cheeks and a pink-toned lipstick. Her hair was styled in loose curls cascading over her shoulders, adding softness to the look.
A defined eyeliner and a small bindi completed the traditional aesthetic. She finished the look with nude-toned nails with a hint of sparkle, adding a subtle touch of glamour.
