Blake Lively gives up hopes of Taylor Swift reconciliation?

Amid reports of a feud between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift, the Gossip Girl actor did something unexpected in October 2025, which many saw as part of her efforts to reconcile with the popstar.

Story is that Blake Lively was among those to react to the 35-year-old’s October 3 Instagram post celebrating the release of her album “The Life of Showgirl”, tapping the like button to show her love.

The like was unexpected because she had ignored many Instagram posts shared by Taylor Swift including the one that featured her announcement engagement to Travis Kelce.

It was her first like on any of Taylor Swift’s Instagram posts in a long time, or at least since it was reported that they were no longer friends.

Blake Lively gives up hopes of Taylor Swift reconciliation?

However, it appears that her efforts to mend ties have failed because Blake Lively has not been liking Taylor’s posts since October.

The singer has shared at least three Instagram posts linked to her docuseries “The End of an Era” since October 3.

Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s feud started after the singer was dragged into the Gossip Girl actor’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

In her lawsuit, Lively accused her It Ends With Us co‑star Baldoni of sexual harassment and waging a smear campaign against her.

When Baldoni launched a countersuit against Lively, his legal team made allegations that thrust Swift into the spotlight.

Lively was accused by Baldoni’s lawyers of having inappropriately leveraged her friendship with Swift during the production of It Ends With Us.

Swift was initially subpoenaed in the case, though Baldoni’s team later withdrew this request.

Citing unnamed sources, People.com reported in June that “Swift and Lively aren’t as close and haven’t been spending as much time together as they did in the past.”

An insider told the media outlet earlier this year that “Taylor is working to trust Blake again but it’s going to take some time.”

Everyday Makeup Heroes: Time-Saving Products That Deliver A Flawless Finish

Last Updated:

From multitasking primers to skin-friendly foundations, discover how modern everyday makeup products save time while delivering long-lasting, professional results.

Smart, multitasking makeup essentials that streamline routines while keeping the finish flawless and skin comfortable all day.

Smart, multitasking makeup essentials that streamline routines while keeping the finish flawless and skin comfortable all day.

As daily routines grow busier, makeup habits are evolving to match the pace. Today’s beauty consumer is no longer looking for elaborate, time-consuming routines but for smart products that deliver polish, performance, and comfort, quickly. Everyday makeup heroes are now defined not by how many steps they require, but by how efficiently they perform.

According to Vaishnavi Jain, Head of Product Development, PAC Cosmetics, efficiency has become the driving force behind modern makeup innovation. “Modern makeup routines are increasingly driven by efficiency, performance, and ease of use,” she explains. “Consumers today prefer products that deliver professional results without the need for lengthy application processes.”

Jain emphasises that time-saving makeup doesn’t mean compromising on quality. Instead, it’s about choosing formulations that work smarter. “A well-performing primer that smooths and grips makeup, paired with a high-coverage foundation that blends effortlessly and a lightweight concealer that corrects and brightens in a single step, can significantly reduce application time while maintaining a flawless finish,” she says.

Multifunctionality is what elevates these everyday essentials. Cream-based blushes and bronzers that can be applied with fingers, versatile eye palettes that move seamlessly from day to night, and long-wear kajals and liners that minimise touch-ups are becoming staples in streamlined routines. “In real-world conditions from long workdays to humid environments, makeup must stay comfortable, intact, and camera-ready,” Jain adds, pointing to finely milled setting powders and sprays as crucial finishing steps that lock everything in place.

While speed and performance are key, the conversation around everyday makeup has expanded to include skin health as a non-negotiable factor. Ishika Virmani, Director, Esskay Beauty Resources, believes this shift marks a more thoughtful era in beauty. “The real shift in everyday makeup is that the best time-saving products now respect the skin beneath,” she says. “We’re past the era of choosing between speed and skin health, today’s formulas are expected to do both.”

Virmani points to the rise of hybrid products as evidence of this convergence. Tinted SPFs that protect while perfecting, and serum-infused foundations that offer coverage without clogging pores, are redefining what everyday makeup looks like. “What makes a product an everyday hero isn’t just how quickly it applies, it’s whether your skin feels comfortable eight hours later,” she notes.

For her, true efficiency lies in formulation. Products built on skincare principles, breathable textures, barrier-supporting ingredients, and high-performance pigments, naturally blend better and last longer without heavy layering. “When makeup is formulated with skin compatibility at its core, the finish looks refined rather than forced,” Virmani explains.

Both experts agree that the future of everyday makeup is not about adding more steps, but about making each step count. By embedding skincare benefits into makeup itself, today’s essentials allow users to look polished while feeling confident that their skin is being cared for, not just covered.

In a world where time is limited and expectations are high, everyday makeup heroes prove that speed, performance, and skin-first thinking can coexist, delivering results that are effortless, reliable, and beautifully modern.

How to keep your hands warm while washing dishes in winter | - The Times of India

Washing dishes during winter can feel extremely uncomfortable as cold water continuously hits your hands. Even in warm water, many people notice their fingers go numb, stiff, or painfully cold after just a few minutes. This everyday chore then becomes even more difficult for people who have sensitive skin, poor circulation, or even joint pain. Cold hands reduce grip strength and slow down the movement, making the dishwashing task exhausting rather than feel like a routine.

5 Foods that will keep your skin hydrated this winter

The good news is that you don’t have to spend a lot on tools or make huge changes to fix this problem. A few smart habits, light adjustments, and proper protection will keep your hands warm and comfortable even while washing dishes in peak winter.

Why do hands freeze while washing dishes

Hands freeze during dishwashing primarily because of the longer exposure to cold or lukewarm water. Water draws temperature off the skin more quickly than air does. During winter, blood flow to the fingers is reduced to save body heat. Hence, hands become more sensitive to cold. Frequent contact with water, along with wet skin and low room temperature, aggravates the effect. Use of harsh soaps while washing the dishes strips the skin of natural oils, making the skin even more sensitive.

Tricks to keep hands safe from going numb

To make sure your hands are safe and the task of washing dishes is not too difficult to perform, you can use some easy tricks. These won’t let any harm occur to your hands.

  • Warming your hands before you start

Before washing the dishes, run your hands under warm water for a minute and gently rub your hands together to increase blood flow. Starting with warm hands decreases the shock of temperature change. This helps you stay warm for a longer time during dishwashing.

  • Using coconut or mustard oil

Using coconut or mustard oil

Using natural oils can help you shield your hands from cold water. A thin layer of coconut oil or mustard oil applied to the hands before washing up acts as a shield to the skin. This protects the skin from dryness by locking in moisture and minimising exposure to cold water and strong detergents. Don’t forget to wash your hands with mild soap after you are done.

  • Moisturise after washing dishes

If your skin is healthy, it will help warmth better. And to keep it healthy, apply a thick layer of moisturiser or hand cream after dishwashing. It helps in restoring the skin barrier. Well-moisturised skin holds heat better and feels less stiff. In the cold season, it is necessary that you take a break while washing huge piles of dishes. You can dry your hands, warm them briefly and then continue with your task. This prevents stiffness and loss of heat.

Wear insulating gloves

Not all dishwashing gloves offer the same protection. Gloves with a thicker insulating material and soft inner lining will help retain heat longer to keep your hands warm for a longer period. These gloves prevent cold water from touching your skin and protect against strong detergents. Insulated gloves are especially helpful during winter mornings or when you have to wash dishes for a long time. The surrounding environment matters more than it seems. A cold kitchen will make it more difficult to keep your hands warm, even with gloves on. If possible, close windows, eliminate drafts, or use a small heater. A warm room maintains blood circulation and prevents your hands from getting cold quickly.

Teachers union slams 'Trump regime,' claims ICE murdered Minneapolis agitator in message to supporters

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

The activist arm of America’s largest teachers union sent a message to supporters over the weekend using inflammatory rhetoric aimed at the Trump administration and immigration authorities after an anti-ICE agitator was killed last week.

“From Minneapolis and Charlotte to Chicago and Portland, our students, families, and educators are coming together to tell the Trump regime to end their assault on our communities,” said a Jan. 10 email from the National Education Association’s Edjustice project.

The message’s subject line was “ICE Out of Our Schools & Communities Now.” The union has more than 3 million members nationwide.

Last week, 37-year-old Renee Good was shot and killed by an ICE agent while accelerating her vehicle in his direction. According to DHS, Good was following ICE agents who were carrying out immigration enforcement operations throughout the day, and had parked her maroon SUV in the street, apparently blocking the agents.

When ordered to move her vehicle, Good initially did not comply. As an agent approached and attempted to open her door, she accelerated her vehicle in the direction of a second agent, who shot and killed her.

The NEA email characterized the events, which were captured on video, much differently.

“The murder of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis as she bravely stood witness to the assault on her immigrant neighbors this week by an ICE agent painfully punctuated months of abductions, harassment, intimidation, and racial profiling by federal forces occupying our cities,” the email said.

Nobody has been charged with murder in Good’s case.

Good was a member of an activist organization called “ICE Watch,” and was initially billed as a “legal observer” of the ICE enforcement operations of the day.

On the same afternoon as Good’s death, a five-mile ICE vehicle pursuit ended on the lawn of Minneapolis’ Roosevelt High School. DHS said the suspect in the pursuit was a U.S. citizen who had used his car to ram a vehicle used by ICE during a separate enforcement operation.

Again, the NEA characterized the events in a different manner.

“Hours after the murder, at a school two blocks away, ICE agents unleashed tear gas and violence on the campus, detaining two school staff who were following protocols to protect students,” according to the email.

A statement from DHS further detailed the incident.

“At no point was a school, students, or staff targeted, and agents would not have been near this location if not for the dangerous actions of this individual,” DHS said in a statement.

The statement continues, saying a person who identified himself as a teacher assaulted law enforcement.

“While this was happening, a crowd began to form and grow—rioters threw objects and dispersed paint on the officers and their vehicles,” the statement continued. “Despite repeated warnings to cease, the crowd continued with their hostilities and assaults. Officers used targeted crowd control for the safety of law enforcement and the public. No tear gas was deployed.”

The NEA’s message then accused the “MAGA regime” of “abducting our loved ones and murdering our neighbors in pursuit of endless power and money, attacking our freedom to seek a better life and come home safely to our families.”

The email also promoted upcoming nationwide anti-ICE protests.

Meanwhile, a full-blown human rights crisis is emerging in Iran, as protesters fight against a dictatorial regime led by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Khamenei is an unelected head of state who has dominated Iran since 1989.

Iranian dissidents have taken to the streets in an uprising mainly driven by poor economic conditions, which have seen the rial, the Iranian currency, steeply deflate in value. In response, the regime has cracked down hard on its own citizens, cutting off the internet and communications with the outside world.

The latest estimates say that about 2,000 people have been killed in the protests, and the regime plans to publicly execute a 26-year-old protester Wednesday for the crime of “waging war against God.”

The teachers union has been silent on the Iranian regime’s brutal attempt to stifle protest.

The NEA dodged Fox News Digital’s questions about the email’s rhetoric, but re-upped its demand for ICE to leave its communities, and said its members are “committed to the safety and well-being of our students, their families and the communities they call home.”

“The presence of ICE undermines that mission and puts students, educators, and parents in harm’s way,” the group said. “From reckless shootings to terrifying our students with unnecessary actions near public schools, it is abundantly clear that we need ICE out of our communities.”

Pakistan fast bowler Zaman Khan delivered a nerveless final over to guide Brisbane Heat to a dramatic three-run victory over Hobart Hurricanes in a Big Bash League (BBL) 15 on Wednesday.

The Hurricanes required six runs to win from the last over, but Zaman held his nerve, delivering a measured over under intense pressure.

The right-arm pacer began with a dot ball before allowing a single, immediately tightening the screws on the batting side.

The third and fourth deliveries were again dots, while on the fifth ball, Zaman struck with a wicket.

Zaman conceded just a single off the final delivery, with the over reading as “dot, single, dot, dot, wicket, single”.

In the match, the Heat posted 160-8 on the scoreboard in their 20 overs after they were asked to bat first.

Nathan McSweeney top-scored with 49 off 32 deliveries, while Matt Renshaw made 37 off 25 balls.

For the Hurricanes, Riley Meredith took three wickets, while Rishad Hossain and Nathan Ellis took a couple of wickets each.

Chasing 161, the Hurricanes fell three runs short as Zaman’s brilliant final over restricted them to 157 for 8 in 20 overs.

Ben McDermott scored 59 off 36 balls, followed by Beau Webster, who made 51 off 43 deliveries.

For the Heat, Xavier Bartlett picked up three wickets, Matthew Kuhnemann took two, while Zaman, Michael Neser and Marnus Labuschagne chipped in with a wicket each.

Police chief apologises for AI error that helped form Maccabi Tel Aviv fan ban decision

West Midlands Police’s chief constable has apologised to MPs for giving them an error in evidence over the decision to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans, as the Home Secretary is set to address Parliament.

Force leaders have been under fire over the decision to ban supporters of the Israeli football team from attending a Europa League match against Aston Villa on Nov. 6.

Chief constable Craig Guildford wrote to the Home Affairs Committee to apologise for the mistake, after he appeared twice to give evidence over the controversy.

In a letter to committee chairwoman Dame Karen Bradley, the senior police figure said that evidence given to the committee by himself and Assistant Chief Constable Mike O’Hara that wrong intelligence over a West Ham match with Maccabi Tel Aviv was because of a Google search was incorrect.

Instead, the “erroneous result” arose from the use of the artificial intelligence tool Microsoft Co Pilot.

Mr. Guildford wrote: “Both ACC O’Hara and I had, up until Friday afternoon, understood that the West Ham match had only been identified through the use of Google.

“I would like to offer my profound apology to the Committee for this error, both on behalf of myself and that of ACC O’Hara.

“I had understood and been advised that the match had been identified by way of a Google search in preparation for attending HAC.

“My belief that this was the case was honestly held and there was no intention to mislead the Committee.”

During the select committee hearing on January 6, MPs asked Mr Guildford if any artificial intelligence had been used in the force’s process.

He said: “There was a definite note that we’ve got to the bottom of in terms of the West Ham game.

“The summation, I think in the House, it was a question that was asked in the House was that, you know, you’ve used the AI, or West Midlands may have used AI on this particular occasion.

“We don’t do that. We don’t use the AI.”

The police chief has faced mounting pressure and calls to resign over the ban.

Maccabi Tel Aviv fans were barred from travelling to the game at Villa Park by the local Safety Advisory Group (SAG), which cited safety concerns based on advice from the police force.

This included a reference by the force to a match between the Israeli club and West Ham United that never happened.

The decision by the SAG — which is made up of representatives from the council, police and other authorities — sparked political outrage, including from Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

Since then, doubts have been growing over the intelligence used by police, including disputes over the accuracy of information.

Mr. Guildford has insisted the decision was not politically influenced.

It comes as Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood will make a statement to MPs on Wednesday after she ordered an investigation into the move to be carried out by His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services.

According to The Guardian, the report from chief inspector of constabulary Sir Andy Cooke will say West Midlands Police made a series of errors in how it gathered and handled intelligence.

A Home Office spokesperson said: “The Home Secretary has this morning received the Chief Inspectorate’s findings into the recommendation by West Midlands Police to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans from attending a match against Aston Villa.

“She will carefully consider the letter and will make a statement in the House of Commons in response later today.”

The power to sack Mr. Guildford lies with West Midlands police and crime commissioner Simon Foster, who has said he will formally review evidence on decision-making around the ban.

Nikki Glaser cut ‘cruel’ Sydney Sweeney joke from Golden Globes monologue

Nikki Glaser is pulling back the curtain on her Golden Globes hosting gig and the jokes that never made it to air.

During her appearance on SiriusXM’s Howard Stern Show, the comedian admitted she had written a biting line about Sydney Sweeney but ultimately scrapped it.

Glaser explained that the ‘too cruel’ joke would have referenced Sweeney’s 2025 box office flop Christy, a biopic about boxer Christy Martin.

“Tonight is a night of celebration but we can’t ignore that it’s a weird time in Hollywood,” Glaser recalled the cut material.

“People just aren’t going to the theater to see things. If you don’t believe me, there was a movie this year where Sydney Sweeney played a le**ian who just bounced around in tiny shorts for two hours and it made $14.”

Glaser revealed that other stars including Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, and Jonathan Bailey also narrowly escaped her sharper material.

Pitt would have been teased for playing a race car driver at 62, Roberts for her film After the Hunt, and Bailey for being named People’s Sexiest Man Alive.

Ultimately, Glaser said she cut those lines.

Despite the edits Glaser still delivered a sharp set poking fun at Leonardo DiCaprio’s dating history and Timothée Chalamet’s stature.

Chris Noth ignites Sarah Jessica Parker feud rumors with single-word comment

Chris Noth has seemingly gone after his former Sex and the City co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker.

Days after Parker was honored by the Golden Globe Foundation with the Carol Burnett award, Noth shared a photo on Instagram of himself working out in the gym, sitting on a bench press while holding two dumbbell weights.

“F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!” he captioned the post. Underneath, one fan commented, “You mean f*** SJP & her award right? Lol,” referencing the And Just Like That…actor’s honor for “outstanding contributions to television on or off the screen.”

Noth simply responded, “Right.”

The Independent has contacted a representative for Parker for comment.

Over the years, Parker and Noth played love interests, Carrie Bradshaw and John James Preston — commonly known as Mr. Big or just Big — in both Sex and the City and its respective reboots, including the films Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2. Big was also briefly brought back for the HBO sequel series, And Just Like That…

However, in December 2021, Noth was accused of sexual assault by two women. The alleged incidents are said to have occurred in 2004 and 2015, respectively, and were made public after the actor returned to the spotlight with And Just Like That.

In response to the claims, Noth told The Independent at the time: “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago – no always means no – that is a line I did not cross.

“The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”

After Noth’s character was killed off in the first episode of the sequel, Parker and the rest of the cast released a statement, claiming they stood by the women and their claims against Noth.

“We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth,” read the statement posted to Instagram and signed by Parker and her co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. “We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.”

Parker was then asked by The Hollywood Reporter in May 2022 what her reaction to the allegations was “as a producer” of the series.

She replied by saying: “I don’t even know if I’m ready to talk about it, but I don’t think… I wasn’t reacting as a producer.”

Acknowledging how hard it was to speak about the subject, she added: “I should have worked on this because I’m just… it’s just…”

Parker, asked if she had spoken to Noth since the allegations surfaced, replied: “No.”
