Sporting a white sweatshirt with a dark brown boy cut wig, the former Disney star-turned-pop sensation left fans in stitches with her hilarious delivery.

For the unversed, the Please Please Please chart topper last appeared on the show in a similar sketch in October 2025.

In the wake of the release of her seventh album, Man’s Best Friend, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, Sabrina performed her hit Manchild and Nobody’s Son during that episode.

Although Rocky had previously appeared in a 2018 sketch called “Friendos” with Kenan Thompson and Donald Glover, Saturday’s episode marked his first performance as a musical guest on the NBC comedy special.

Meta-owned Threads surpasses Musk’s X in daily mobile users

Meta-owned Threads surpasses Musk’s X in daily mobile users

As competition among social media platforms has been growing hotter than ever, Meta-owned Threads has surpassed Elon Musk’s microblogging site X (formerly Twitter) in daily mobile usage.

Threads’ incredible daily user growth has been outlined by a report from market intelligence firm Similarweb.

Although X is still leading on the web, the Threads mobile app for iOS and Android is experiencing a steady increase in daily active users over recent months.

As of January 7, 2026, data issued by Similarweb showed that Threads had 141.5 million daily active users on mobile, while X had 125 million.

This surprising uptick in Threads’ user base is said to have stemmed from long-term trends rather than a direct reaction to recent controversies surrounding X.

X users were recently found utilising the platform’s integrated AI chatbot, Grok, to create non-consensual nude images, including those of minors.

This inappropriate incident has led California’s attorney general to initiate an investigation into Grok, following similar inquiries from regions such as the UK, EU, India, and Brazil.

The turmoil at X has also contributed to the rise of social networking startup Bluesky, whose app installations recently registered a substantial jump.

On the other hand, Threads’ growth was attributed to cross-promotions from Meta’s larger platforms like Facebook and Instagram, its emphasis on creators, and the rapid introduction of new features.

Over the past year, Threads has added interest-based communities, improved filters, direct messaging, long-form text, disappearing posts, and is currently testing games.

As of August 2025, Meta claimed that Threads reached over 400 million monthly active users, reporting 150 million daily active users in October.

While X is enjoying superior popularity in the U.S., the difference is shrinking, meaning Threads’ mobile experience is more aligned with user habits.

Thecha steamed eggs recipe: How to turn simple eggs into a spicy, flavour-packed Maharashtrian delight | - The Times of India

Eggs are perhaps the most useful ingredient in the cookbook. They are very light and very filling at the same time, very easy ingredients to cook, and very rich in protein as well. The humble nature of the ingredients makes it an ideal dish for an early morning breakfast, a snack, or a quick dinner as well. However, the humble nature of these ingredients gets a complete makeover when blended with the robust and aromatic flavour of thecha, a typical Maharashtrian paste of chilli and garlic, turning it into a treat for the eyes as well as a delight for the palate in the form of thecha steamed eggs.

What is ‘thecha’ Maharashtrian spice mix

Thecha is a traditional condiment of the Maharashtrian cuisine. To make thecha, green chilli, garlic, peanuts, and salt are crushed. Finally, the dish is topped off with hot oil, so the real essence of the ingredients is released. Thecha is typically used as an accompaniment to snacks like bhakri, poha, or fried food. However, thecha can also be used as a garnish for egg food or cooked veggies. The flavour of thecha resides in its boldness. The flavour of the thecha comes from the chilli and the pungency of the garlic, and the crunch of the peanuts gives a subtle taste. One of the best aspects of thecha is its versatility. Whether you want the heat level of your thecha reduced or boosted, or even add some lemon and yoghurt for extra quality, it can easily handle all of this. This makes it the best accompaniment for not only everyday meals but also for innovative recipes such as Thecha Steamed Eggs.

How to make thecha steamed eggs: Step-by-step

  • Step 1: Prepare the egg base

Start by whisking the eggs together with a splash of water and a pinch of salt until very smooth. To get an even smoother consistency, strain the egg mixture through a sieve to get rid of any air pockets and any bits of egg that may not be fully whisked in.Continue whisking until you need to pour the egg mix into another heat-proof bowl that is covered with its lid removed slightly for cooking using steam on low heat for 12-15 minutes with the heat kept consistent to avoid creating holes or puffiness on the surface, to cook the egg softly for better texture.

  • Step 3: Make the thecha oil

In the meantime, when the eggs are steaming, the thecha can be made. Chop the green chillies, garlic, and peanuts, and heat some oil in another pan. When the oil is hot, pour it over the chopped mixture. When the hot oil touches the chillies and garlic, the aroma starts to come out, making the thecha pungent.

  • Step 4: Assemble the dish

Once the eggs are steamed, spoon the thecha oil over the top. Finish with roasted peanuts and freshly chopped coriander for added crunch and freshness. The result is a vibrant, flavour-packed dish that is visually appealing and bursting with texture.

Tips for perfect thecha steamed eggs

  • Strain the egg mixture: Passing eggs through a sieve before steaming creates a custard-like, silky texture reminiscent of Korean-style steamed eggs.
  • Maintain gentle heat: Steaming at low, consistent heat prevents bubbling or puffing and ensures an even, smooth surface.
  • Maximise the flavour: Heat the oil until just shimmering to fully release the aroma of garlic and chillies before pouring over the eggs.
  • Adjust spice levels: Reduce the number of chillies, or add lemon or yoghurt, to suit your taste preferences.

How thecha steamed eggs can be your go-to meal

Thecha steamed eggs are a wonderful example of a simple dish that can be made interesting with humble ingredients. Eggs are a good source of protein, and then there are the flavours of thecha, which are vibrant and quite exotic. This makes it a treat in disguise that is very easy to prepare and does not weigh much either. This dish is also quite versatile. You could just have it, or you could have it with toasted bread, or you could have it with a simple salad, and that will make for a complete meal. If you want convenience and you want nutritional value combined with simple cooking, then this dish is for you.

Robert Irwin reveals whether he is single or taken

Robert Irwin has answered the burning question every female fan has: Is he single?

Robert had fans swooning with his dance skills during Dancing With the Stars, which saw him ace the steps with professional dance partner Witney Carson. He won the competition, in a beautiful nod to his siter bindi’s win a decade ago.

During his appearance on Australia’s KIIS FM on January 19, the host asked, “On behalf of every single woman under the age of 30, are you single?”

“Oh, we’re going straight in for the exclusive. Yes, yes,” revealed Robert.

The host then asked if the DWTS winner is “looking” for a relationship.

“Oh, definitely,” he replied candidly. “It’s one of these things where I’m like at this point in my life where you sort of, you gotta let it happen, because I’m so here and there and everywhere and 100 miles per hour.”

“I’m open to it,” he added.

“Watch this space. There’s not much to report at the moment,” he quipped, reiterating his single status.

While in L.A. for DWTS, the conservationist was rumored to be dating former DWTS winner Xochitl Gomez, whom he danced with during the show’s 20th anniversary special.

When asked about the challenges of dating in the spotlight, Robert Irwin told The New York Times in November 2025, “Holy moly, that’s so challenging to navigate. Anything you do will be on TikTok the next day.”

Pakistan sealed a commanding victory over Scotland in the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup 2026 as Usman Khan’s composed half-century and a disciplined bowling display powered the Green Shirts to a four-wicket win in the 12th match of the tournament at the Takashinga Sports Club on Monday.

Chasing a modest target of 188, Pakistan reached 188 for 4 in 43.1 overs to register their first win of the U19 World Cup 2026. The chase began steadily as openers Ali Hassan Baloch and Sameer Minhas put on 43 runs inside the first 10 overs, laying a solid foundation.

Scotland struck back through off-spinner Ollie Jones, who bowled Ali Hassan for 15 before trapping Sameer Minhas lbw for 28 off 30 balls, an innings that included three boundaries. Pakistan slipped to 48-2 in 11.1 overs, allowing Scotland a brief opening.

However, Ahmed Hussain and Usman Khan restored control with a match-defining 111-run partnership for the third wicket. The pair batted with maturity and patience, blunting the Scottish attack and steadily rotating the strike. Usman brought up a well-compiled half-century off 59 balls as Pakistan cruised to 124-2 after 31 overs.

The stand ended in the 39th over when Usman was dismissed for a polished 75 off 85 balls, featuring five fours and two sixes. With the score at 159-3, Pakistan required just 29 runs to win. Ahmed Hussain continued to anchor the chase, scoring 47 before falling with only three runs needed. Captain Farhan Yousaf sealed the victory with a boundary despite a couple of tight overs from the Scottish bowlers.

Earlier, Pakistan capitalised on winning the toss and bowling first, dismissing Scotland for 187 in 47.1 overs. Fast bowler Ali Raza set the tone with a fiery opening spell, removing Theo Robinson (4) and Max Chaplin (2) in the first over to leave Scotland reeling at 12-2.

Rory Grant and captain Thomas Knight attempted a recovery with a 47-run stand, but Pakistan’s bowlers maintained pressure. Knight top-scored with a resolute 37 off 72 balls, while Ollie Jones contributed 30. A late partnership between Manu Saraswat (25) and Finlay Jones (33) briefly lifted Scotland, but a lower-order collapse followed.

Ali Raza finished with four wickets, while spinner Momin Qamar claimed three as Pakistan underlined their credentials in the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup 2026 with a comprehensive all-round performance.

Just 5 Minutes A Day Could Add Years To Your Life, Science Reveals This Tiny Habit Works Wonders

Just 5 Minutes A Day Could Add Years To Your Life, Science Reveals This Tiny Habit Works Wonders

How To Live Longer: Ageing is inevitable, but what if a simple daily habit could extend your lifespan? A recent study reveals that just five extra minutes of walking a day could reduce your risk of dying early, boost your mental and physical health, support your joints, and improve your quality of life as you age.

The international study, published in The Lancet, analysed health and lifestyle data from over 135,000 adults across Norway, Sweden, the United States, and the UK. The conclusion was striking: even the smallest increase in daily movement can have measurable benefits for longevity.

Why Just Five Minutes Makes A Big Difference

Add Zee News as a Preferred Source

Researchers found that nearly 80 per cent of participants led highly sedentary lives, spending close to 10 hours a day sitting. For this group, adding just five minutes of moderate-paced walking daily was associated with a 10 per cent reduction in the risk of early death.

This wasn’t intense exercise or brisk power walking, just purposeful movement that slightly raises the heart rate. The kind of walking most people can manage, regardless of age or fitness level.

The study also revealed that cutting sitting time by just 30 minutes a day was linked to an estimated seven per cent reduction in deaths from all causes. Small shifts, it turns out, create big ripple effects.

Professor Ding summed it up clearly: inactive lifestyles are strongly linked to poor health outcomes, and even modest increases in physical activity can deliver major public health benefits.

Moving Away From The ‘All Or Nothing’ Fitness Mindset

This research is especially encouraging because it challenges the idea that exercise must be intense, time-consuming, or exhausting to be effective.

For many people, particularly women in midlife and beyond, structured workouts aren’t always realistic. Busy schedules, caregiving responsibilities, joint pain, fatigue, menopause symptoms, or chronic conditions often get in the way. This study reinforces a powerful truth: movement doesn’t need to be perfect to be powerful.

It also highlights something many overlook: long hours of sitting can harm health even if you work out regularly. A yoga class after work doesn’t fully cancel out a day spent glued to a chair. Breaking up sedentary time matters just as much as planned exercise.

Why Walking Is One Of The Most Powerful Longevity Habits

Walking remains one of the most underrated health tools available. It’s low-impact, free, gentle on the joints, and adaptable to almost every fitness level. But its benefits go far beyond physical health.

Regular walking has been linked to:

1. Better heart health

2. Improved blood sugar control

3. Stronger bones and joints

4. Enhanced cognitive function

5. Reduced stress and anxiety

6. Better sleep quality

When done consistently, even in short bursts, walking supports long-term wellbeing in ways that compound over time.

Easy Ways To Add Five Minutes Of Walking To Your Day

The key is to make walking feel natural, not like another chore on your to-do list. Small tweaks to your routine can make it effortless:

1. Turn everyday tasks into movement: Park a little farther away, walk to grab coffee, or get off public transport one stop early.

2. Attach walking to existing habits: Pace during phone calls or take a quick stroll after meals.

3. Use reminders: Set a timer every couple of hours to stand up and walk for a few minutes.

4. Make it social: Suggest a short walk instead of sitting down for a chat with a friend or colleague.

5. Pair it with pleasure: Save your favourite podcast or playlist exclusively for walking time.

6. Use what’s around you: Stairs, hallways, gardens, and even supermarket aisles all count.

You don’t need to overhaul your life to protect your future health. Sometimes, the most powerful habits are the simplest ones. Five minutes of walking a day may not sound life-changing, but science suggests it just might be.

Kelly Clarkson finally getting out of hosting morning show?

Kelly Clarkson’s eponymous daytime talk show is reportedly coming to an end.

Kelly has been through a lot during her hosting run and has taken breaks from the dirty before.

Now, sources say the host is finally in the process of quitting the show after this season.

A mole said that the show will “likely that it will not go on.”

“Her show is a lot to put on, and looking at the landscape across daytime television, it’s not sustainable anymore,” they said.

Last year, Kelly took a long break from her hosting duties as her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, battled cancer and ultimately died of the disease. The singer shares kids River Rose, 11, and Remington “Remy” Alexander, 9, with her late ex.

Amid the extended break, rumors floated that Today anchor Hoda Kotb was in talks to replace the singer. Even before that, insiders claimed that Kelly was exhausted due to a contentious divorce and other personal challenges and wanted out of the demanding gig.

Despite the continued reports that the singer wants to quit the show, another insider said, “People are jumping the gun. Nothing is definite yet, and it’s a still a long season.”

Kelly recently revealed shared isnight into how she’s helping the kids deal with theri dad’s death, saying, “There’s been a lot for our family recently, and so I have allowed my kids to sleep with me quite a bit. So it’s my two dogs, my kids and me. It’s a lot.”

“It’s been really special, though. The conversations you have during that time are pretty cute. So that’s probably my favorite time of day,” she added.

Trial launched in Ramsey to ‘help spot health risks early’

Trial launched in Ramsey to 'help spot health risks early'

A pilot scheme designed to identify and nip potential health problems in the bud has been launched by the Isle of Man’s public health directorate.

The so-called fit checks have begun at Ramsey Group Practice in the north of the island, as part of a project that could also help to shape future services.

They look at the lifestyle, mental well-being, and basic physical health of people aged between 18 and 39.

Public health consultant Dr Ross Keat said supporting people earlier to make small preventative changes would make “a big difference later on”.

Some 3,500 people in the north of the island within that age bracket are eligible for the checks.

The checks will be carried out by two pre-existing nurses that support GP staff and would not replace GP appointments, Keat explained, adding that the cost would be minimal and absorbed by Ramsey Group Practice.

He said it was hoped the scheme could be expanded into island-wide services, with the pilot offering health and care services “a blueprint” to roll it out in other areas.

Frailty coordinator Georgia Zapparoli, who normally worked with people in their later years, said the 18 to 39 age bracket was key as “common themes” ran through the lifestyle of many older patients.

Zapparoli said getting people into “good habits” before they reach 50 would mean “in 30 years time we won’t have the same need in the general population as we do now”.

Also from 18 to 39, she said people tended to neglect themselves by “working more hours than we do for the rest our lives”.

“Because we can, because we’re young, we push ourselves too hard, we burn the candle at both ends, she said, which created problems that arose when people where in their 50s.

Zapparoli said questions in the appointments would also look at people’s living situations, employment status, social life, and physical activity – to help shape future services.

“If we find out for example, that 60% of our young people are working in really hard physical labour, we will need to make sure that in 20 years time we’ve invested in physiotherapy,” she said.

While the questions “might seem a little bit probing”, no one was being “judged” and it was important to get honest answers to invest in the right services for the island, she added.

James Gunn names next big DC film being cast for amid Wonder Woman rumors

James Gunn is putting Wonder Woman casting rumors to rest, and revealing which big film is instead being cast for.

Gunn was asked on Threads if the role, last played by Gal Gadot, is currently being cast.

“Hi James, Is it true that actors auditioned for the role of Batman at the end of 2025? I saw this rumour in my feed,” asked one Threads user.

The DC helmer clarified that all rumors of such auditions are false.

“No. All these rumours of Batman and Wonder Woman auditions are false,” the Guardians of the Galaxy director wrote in a straightforward reply.

Meanwhile, another user asked, “Are the Wonder Woman MoT leaks real? I try to avoid leaks unless they come from your mouth but the rumors are getting so loud that it’s becoming hard to ignore for many of us.”

In response, the director shared why the rumors might have spread, revealing that DC is casting a woman for a role in Man of Tomorrow (2027).

“No. We are currently casting a female character in MoT. My only guess is scoopers are taking a stab at guessing that’s WW,” replied the Superman director.

Gunn didn’t reveal which character is being cast in the upcoming Superman sequel.

He has previously noted that Wondar Woman won’t be cast until a script is ready for the film.

Taking to Threads, Gunn wrote, “We’re also not casting WW, nor even discussing it, until a script is finished.”

The next film DC is set to release is Milly Alcock’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
