Carlos Alcaraz beats Novak Djokovic in Australian Open final

MELBOURNE, Australia — Carlos Alcaraz is the youngest man ever to complete a career Grand Slam after securing the Australian Open title against Novak Djokovic, who had never lost in his 10 previous finals at Melbourne Park.

The top-ranked Alcaraz dropped the first set Sunday as Djokovic went out hard in pursuit of a record 25th major title, but he rallied to win 2-6, 6-2, 6-3, 7-5.

The 22-year-old Spaniard scrambled to retrieve shots that usually would be winners for Djokovic, and he kept up intense pressure on his 38-year-old rival.

Both players were coming off grueling five-set semifinal wins and showed phenomenal fitness, athleticism and stamina for just over three hours in pursuit of their own historic achievements.

Djokovic’s push for an unprecedented 25th Grand Slam singles title has now been blocked by Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner for nine majors.

Djokovic edged Sinner in the semifinals and was aiming to be the oldest man to win a Grand Slam title in the Open era, but didn’t quite make it against Alcaraz.

At 22 years and 272 days, Alcaraz is the youngest man to complete a set of all four major singles titles. He broke the mark set by Don Budge in the 1938 French championships, when he was 22 years and 363 days.

Alcaraz now has seven major titles — his first in Australia along with two each at Wimbledon and the French and US Opens.

Tehran warns of regional conflict if US attacks Iran

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that if the US attacked Iran, it would become a regional conflict, state media reported on Sunday, amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran.

The US has built up its naval presence in the Middle East after President Donald Trump repeatedly threatened Iran with intervention if it did not agree to a nuclear deal or failed to stop killing protesters.

“[Trump] regularly says that he brought ships […] The Iranian nation shall not be scared by these things, the Iranian people will not be stirred by these threats,” Khamenei said.

“We are not the initiators and do not want to attack any country, but the Iranian nation will strike a strong blow against anyone who attacks and harasses them.”

A diplomatic solution remains on the cards, with Tehran saying it is ready for “fair” negotiations that do not seek to curtail its defensive capabilities.

The US Navy currently has six destroyers, one aircraft carrier, and three littoral combat ships in the region.

The protests, which started in late December over economic hardships but morphed into the most acute political challenge to the Islamic Republic since its establishment in 1979, have now abated after repression.

Official numbers put the unrest-related death toll at 3,117, while the US-based HRANA rights group said on Sunday it had so far verified the death of 6,713 people. Reuters was unable to independently verify the numbers.

Khamenei likened the protests to a “coup”, saying that the goal of the “sedition” was to attack the centres that govern the country, state media reported.

Gordon Ramsay says what he was really crying over at daughter’s wedding to Adam Peaty

Gordon Ramsay says what he was really crying over at daughter’s wedding to Adam Peaty

TV chef Gordon Ramsay joked that he cried when he saw the price of his daughter Holly’s wedding dress.

The influencer tied the knot with Olympian Adam Peaty in December last year at a star-studded ceremony held at Bath Abbey with guests including Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham in attendance.

“I was very emotional, I was crying because I realised how expensive the dress was then,” the TV Chef said on The Jennifer Hudson Show.

Ramsay said that his tears stemmed from the pride he felt that his daughter, 26, had grown into an “amazing lady”.

“It just gets you,” he added of the moment he saw her in her wedding dress for the first time on the big day.

The bride’s gown was designed by Elie Saab, who has specialised in bridal couture since the early 1980s.

Holly took inspiration from Kate Middleton and Grace Kelly’s wedding dresses when choosing her own, which had a high neckline, lace sleeves, and a dramatic veil to trail along Bath Abbey’s 65-metre-long aisle.

The bride previously told Vogue that nobody had cried more in the time surrounding the big day than her father.

“Dad cries every time I talk about the wedding,” she said. “The other day I was asking him which car he and I would take to the church, and he welled up immediately.”

During his appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Ramsay ignored the family fall-out that led to Peaty’s parents Caroline and Mark being notably absent from the ceremony.

A row exploded when Caroline publicly said she was not invited to Holly’s hen do, and told the Daily Mail about the fall out.

She told the paper that despite not being invited to the wedding, she had planned to go along anyway to watch but ultimately decided against it.

Before the wedding Ramsay said in a post on Instagram: “I’m truly so lucky being able to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and gaining an incredible son in law @adam_peaty!

“I love you so much @hollyramsayy and couldn’t be a prouder Dad xxx.”Ramsay has six children, including Holly’s sisters Tilly, 24, and Megan, 27, who were bridesmaids at the wedding, and sons, Jack, 25, Oscar, six, and two-year-old Jesse.

Peaty reportedly met his new wife through her sister Tilly while the pair both took part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2021.

Holly announced their engagement on September 12 2024 in an Instagram post that said: “I am marrying my best friend. I truly cannot put into words how I am feeling right now.”

In a separate post, Peaty said: “I can’t believe you’re going to be my wife. I’m truly the luckiest man on earth to have such a gentle, caring and beautiful woman by my side.”

Rosenior earning Chelsea fans’ respect one win at a time

Rosenior earning Chelsea fans' respect one win at a time

LONDON — Chelsea coach Liam Rosenior has seen the memes. He has seen the online comparisons to David Brent from the British version of “The Office.” He knows that people have been widely laughing at him on social media. His children were the ones who showed him.

“They love it! There was one about my dress sense where they said I had decent dress sense and my daughter thought that was hilarious,” he told his prematch news conference on Friday. “She hates my dress sense!”

For all the laughter, though, Rosenior has delivered on his promise to secure wins for Chelsea — he now has six victories in his first seven games across all competitions since he first stood on the touchline earlier this month.

‘Hire and fire’: The exhausting job of a soccer manager in 2026

Saturday’s 3-2 victory over West Ham United was the first time in Premier League history that Chelsea have come back from two goals down at halftime to win. After Wednesday’s 3-2 victory over Napoli in the UEFA Champions League, it’s also the second time in a week that Chelsea have rallied from behind and left with a victory.

Few, surely, will be laughing now.

”I hope in time they [the fans] will say it’s the best decision this club’s ever made, but I can’t focus on that,” Rosenior said after the game about his hiring.

It was a game of two halves for Chelsea, who were unquestionably dreadful in the first 45 minutes. The fans let them know about it when referee Anthony Taylor blew the whistle, with boos loudly ringing out at Stamford Bridge. West Ham were deserving of their two-goal advantage: A cross from Jarrod Bowen found the back of the net in the seventh minute, followed by a well-taken effort from Crysencio Summerville.

Alejandro Garnacho lost possession 12 times before being subbed at the break. Liam Delap looked isolated and ineffective, touching the ball just eight times. The center back pairing of Benoît Badiashile and Trevoh Chalobah looked shaky, allowing a multitude of chances. If anything, they were lucky to be just two goals down.

Rosenior wasn’t shy to change things. Standing on the touchline in a suave overcoat, blue pants and white sneakers, he made three substitutions at halftime. He is on record as saying he is keen on early substitutions.

“If you look at my managerial history, I’ve always made early changes,” he said on Friday.

“At Strasbourg, it was the same. The players already understand with me that, if you’re taken off at halftime, it’s tactical.”

Here, all three halftime subs paid off. He brought on defenders Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana, as well as striker João Pedro, and all three of Chelsea’s goals featured one of the replacements.

First, in the 57th minute, Fofana delivered a perfectly floated cross to the back post for Pedro to nod home. The second came 13 minutes later when Cucurella reacted quickest to rebound off the bar and delivered the equalizer with a diving header.

It was the first time in over three years that two Chelsea substitutes scored in the same game in the Premier League.

In the end, it was Enzo Fernández who bagged the winner in the second minute of added time. He arrived in the opposition 18-yard box at just the right time to convert Pedro’s pass across the area.

When Rosenior replaced Enzo Maresca on the touchline at Chelsea earlier this month, it was met by many with amusement rather than excitement. Maresca had guided Chelsea to a top-four finish, won the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup, and been linked with replacing Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Rosenior’s résumé consisted of a stint as Wayne Rooney’s assistant at Derby County, a semi-successful spell managing Hull City and a promising 18-month tenure at Chelsea’s sister club, Strasbourg.

His record since taking the dugout at Stamford Bridge speaks for itself, though. He is now enjoying a five-game winning run and has the best start on paper since Maurizio Sarri in 2018.

“For a manager to come in midway through a season with not many sessions and have six wins out of seven games, it’s not a bad way to start,” Rosenior added.

”As long as the team shows the fight and the energy and the intensity that they did in that second half, the fans show that they’ll be with us and they’ll support us, and I’m really enjoying being part of this football club.”

There is still an element of respect for him to earn. He has been granted a largely welcoming run of fixtures to begin his career at Stamford Bridge — his only defeat, against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semifinal first leg, was one of two games he has had against top-quality opposition.

Saturday’s victory will set up his biggest test so far: the Carabao Cup semifinal second leg away to Arsenal, in which they need to overturn a 3-2 deficit.

”Someone’s just told me it’s the first time in Premier League history we’ve won from two goals down at home,” Rosenior said.

“It’s a massive thing to do, to see the heart, the mentality, the spirit of the group and their quality in the second half makes me a very, very happy man.”

Girls at elite prep school threatened in 'revenge porn blast' as parents shell out $63k a year to attend

Two teenage girls say a former teacher linked to a $63,000-a-year Brooklyn private school threatened them with a “revenge porn blast,” exposing nude images after allegedly coercing them for explicit photos, according to a newly filed federal lawsuit.

The lawsuit accuses Winston Nguyen, a former teacher at Saint Ann’s School, of soliciting nude photos and videos from the girls when they were just 13 years old and later sharing the material with students.

Nguyen pleaded guilty last year to a felony charge and multiple misdemeanors and is now serving a seven-year prison sentence, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.

The civil complaint, filed Thursday in federal court, names Saint Ann’s School, several administrators and Nguyen as defendants. The girls, who were not students at Saint Ann’s, allege school leaders were negligent and failed to act despite repeated warning signs about Nguyen’s behavior.

Nguyen, 39, was arrested in June 2024 outside the Brooklyn Heights campus. He pleaded guilty to using a child in a sexual performance and five misdemeanor counts.

Saint Ann’s, an elite private school that charges roughly $60,000 a year in tuition and is known for high Ivy League acceptance rates and attendees that include celebrities, artists and Wall Street executives, has been surrounded by scandal for nearly two years.

The lawsuit marks the first time some of Nguyen’s victims have publicly shared their accounts.

ATTORNEY RIPS USA GYMNASTICS AMID LAWSUIT OVER ALLEGED FAILURE TO PROTECT ATHLETES FROM SEXUAL ABUSE

Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said Nguyen betrayed his position of trust by targeting teenage victims from multiple elite independent schools.

According to prosecutors, Nguyen used the messaging app Snapchat to pose as a teenage boy and engage minors in sexually explicit conversations, persuading them to send nude images and videos. The victims were between 13 and 15 years old, and the crimes occurred between October 2022 and May 2024, the DA’s office said.

According to the complaint, obtained by the New York Times, the girls say they felt pressured to comply because they believed Nguyen was a peer with social influence connected to Saint Ann’s students.

“This was a sickening betrayal of trust by a schoolteacher who solicited students into sending him graphic and nude photos,” Gonzalez said at sentencing. “Today’s sentencing holds him accountable for his actions while sparing the young and vulnerable victims from having to relive this emotional abuse in court.”

After the girls cut off contact, Nguyen allegedly shared their nude images with other students.

The lawsuit claims Saint Ann’s leadership was alerted twice in early 2024 that explicit images of young girls were circulating among students on Snapchat but failed to notify police or intervene beyond internal meetings.

“Only the school knew about both the revenge porn circulating and Nguyen’s history of misconduct,” the complaint states.

Saint Ann’s administrators knew when Nguyen was hired in 2020 that he had previously served time in prison, according to the complaint. The New York Times reported in December 2024 that at least one staff member warned against hiring Nguyen, citing his criminal history involving financial exploitation of an elderly couple.

Nguyen was initially hired as a clerk before becoming a middle school math teacher. School officials allegedly knew he slept on campus, gave students gifts and snacks, and searched for students on social media.

Parents, teachers and students who raised concerns were allegedly dismissed or “shamed” for being “racist or not progressive,” according to a 2024 law firm report commissioned by the school. Nguyen is the son of Vietnamese immigrants.

After the lawsuit was filed in the Eastern District of New York, Saint Ann’s leaders sent a letter to the school community disputing the allegations.

“The complaint includes several misrepresentations of Saint Ann’s role, and we will address and dispute this delicate matter through the appropriate legal channels,” Head of School Kenyatte Reid and Board of Trustees President Mary Watson wrote, adding they were “concern[ed] for all victims impacted by Nguyen’s actions.”

The girls’ attorney, Joshua Perry, said the evidence will show Saint Ann’s leadership repeatedly ignored warning signs about Nguyen’s behavior.

“The school ignored every warning sign and coddled a known predator,” Perry told Fox News Digital.

Perry said Saint Ann’s knew Nguyen had a prior conviction involving vulnerable victims, knew he was grooming students with gifts, interacting with them on social media, violating boundaries by visiting their homes and hosting unauthorized sessions with students on campus.

“These aren’t just my guesses,” Perry said. “The school’s own internal investigator, the law firm Debevoise and Plimpton, found all these facts. But the school still refuses to accept any responsibility.”

Perry also pushed back on suggestions that the harm to his clients is merely alleged, noting Nguyen’s guilty plea.

“It’s not just alleged. Nguyen pled guilty, and Jane and Joan’s impact statements were read at his sentencing,” he said.

Perry said the girls, identified in court filings as Jane and Joan, were deeply traumatized.

“They were devastated. Depressed. Anxious. Terrified. Ashamed,” Perry said. “But they’re incredibly brave young women, and they’re fighting back.”

Nguyen’s attorney, Frank Rothman, told The New York Times that his client is penniless and incarcerated but acknowledged potential liability for the school.

“At a minimum, they should have stopped to think, ‘Is this the man for the job?’” Rothman said.

Saint Ann’s has faced previous sexual misconduct allegations. In 2019, the school acknowledged that 19 former staff members may have engaged in inappropriate behavior with students.

Statements from the girls were read at Nguyen’s sentencing hearing last year.

“Photos of me as a naked preteen will forever be on the internet,” one wrote. “You ruined my life, broke my ability to trust, and hurt any chance at loving myself.”

Perry said he hopes additional victims will come forward but accused Saint Ann’s of discouraging them.

“Saint Ann’s has a track record of bullying and intimidating victims,” he said. “But Jane and Joan are fighting back and other young women can, too.”

Perry said he is seeking accountability from Saint Ann’s leadership, accusing school officials of minimizing responsibility.

“Saint Ann’s turned a predator loose on Brooklyn’s children,” he said. “They don’t get to hide in their ivory tower.”

Katie Price's 'starting to suspect' she made huge mistake in marriage

Katie Price’s family were unaware of the star’s new relationship with ‘businessman’ Lee, 43

Katie Price has tried to convince fans that she has married the right person, after it was revealed that she is ‘starting to suspect she’s made a huge mistake’ in marrying him.

The wedding reportedly took place only days after the engagement, with sources claiming that even her family were unaware of the star’s new relationship with ‘businessman’ Lee, 43.

But despite his claims to be a multimillionaire businessman with links to Elon Musk, Lee’s facade has crumbled since the big day, with him being accused of using AI, working as an escort and having a colourful history with women.

However, the couple continued to ignore all the concerns surrounding their shotgun wedding, as Lee displayed a new inking of Katie’s name.

Flashing his abs in a shirtless selfie, he showed the tribute tattooed on right hip, which his new wife promptly shared to her Instagram Story.

It marks yet another tribute inking for the couple in just a week, with them already getting each other’s names tattooed on their back of their hands.

Friends of Katie’s wider family have told Daily Mail that the mother-of-five is ‘beginning to be convinced’ that Lee might not be the man she thought he was, but that she is reluctant to admit it.

One source said: ‘Katie has been inundated with direct messages from her new husband’s former girlfriends warning her what he is really like – and pleading with her to dump him.

‘He is not a nice man. These women have been doing everything they can to make her see sense. They have no ulterior motive other than to try and stop her going through what they went through.’

‘At first, she ignored them and wrote them off as being bitter and jealous’, they went on. ‘But now she is actually starting to believe the women because they have so much information and details documenting what he did to them.

‘And even though she’s starting to suspect that she’s made a huge mistake by marrying a man she didn’t even know, she’s not admitting it to those closest to her. She is very, very stubborn like that.’

It comes after the entrepreneur failed to fulfil his promise that he would fly to the UK on Thursday to reunite with his new bride as promised.

Union Budget 2026: Why Sitharaman’s Buddhist Circuit Plan is a big deal for Northeast tourism; what industry experts have to say | - The Times of India

In a landmark move, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has revealed plans for a new Buddhist Circuit scheme for six Northeastern states in the Union Budget 2026–27. The budget was presented in Parliament on February 1, 2026 and this announcement marks a major policy shift to boost India’s religious tourism portfolio. This initiative will create a proper planned network of Buddhist pilgrimage sites across Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Mizoram, Tripura, and Manipur. It’s a fact that despite being historically important, these states remain under explored.Cultural Tourism boostTourism was one of the prime highlights in the 2026 budget. The industry is a key driver of jobs and growth. The minister also announced plans of investment in electric transport and seaplane manufacturing. However, the development of Buddhist Circuit remains one of the prime features with immense potential to reshape travel across South Asia’s Buddhist travel network.Commenting on the development, Karan Agarwal, Director, Cox & Kings, said, “What stood out for me in this Budget is that it doesn’t treat travel as a one-sided story. Outbound travel needed a course correction, and cutting TCS on foreign tour packages to 2% does exactly that, it takes away a friction that travellers were feeling every time they planned a trip. On the inbound side, the intent is clearly longer-term. What stands out is the emphasis on cultural and experiential travel, whether through developing archaeological sites, strengthening Buddhist circuits, or building skilled local guide networks, tells us the focus is finally shifting to how India is experienced, not just how many people arrive. If this is executed well, it could move Indian tourism from being crowded and transactional to curated and experience-led.”Summing up the budgetTo sum up, Sitharaman explained that the Northeast presents deep cultural intersections of Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana Buddhist traditions. The new scheme is designed to preserve Buddhist temples and monasteries. There are also plans to install interpretation and pilgrimage centres and improve transport along with digital connectivity for the convenience of tourists.Mr. Siddhartha Gupta, CEO, Yatra Online Limited, says, “India’s travel and tourism sector has reached a point where demand is well established across segments and geographies. The focus now has to be on building an ecosystem that allows this demand to scale in a more efficient, affordable, and predictable way, and the Union Budget 2026-27 takes steps in that direction.”It is a fact that while other Buddhist attractions including Bodh Gaya and Sarnath attract lakhs of tourists and pilgrims every year, the Northeast’s sites remain largely unexplored. But with better connectivity and infrastructure, the government plans a more integrated journey in the Eastern Himalayas.“The emphasis on experience-led growth—through integrated medical and tourism hubs, the development of immersive heritage destinations, and the expansion of eco- and nature-based tourism- significantly strengthens India’s appeal for international travelers seeking authentic, high-quality, and purpose-driven experiences. These initiatives not only diversify India’s inbound tourism narrative beyond metros and seasonal circuits but also distribute economic benefits more evenly across regions and communities”, commented Hari Ganapathy, Co-Founder, Pickyourtrail.Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and COO, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group, said, “The focus on sustainable and experiential tourism, including the development of Himalayan trails, the continued push for Buddhist circuits, and the strong policy thrust on the Northeast, will support the growth of diverse tourism segments while enabling more balanced regional development. These measures are expected to encourage longer stays, wider travel dispersal, and stronger demand for quality accommodation and services across tier-2 and tier-3 markets.Appreciating the budget, Zubin Karkaria, Founder & CEO, VFS Global, said, “The Union Budget charts a strong roadmap to Vision 2047, positioning tourism, mobility, and human capital as engines of long-term growth. By recognising tourism as a catalyst for job creation, foreign exchange earnings, and regional development, the government is laying the foundation for a more competitive and resilient travel ecosystem. The emphasis on capacity building is particularly encouraging, with focused measures on infrastructure development, skill enhancement, and institutional support. These initiatives will play a crucial role in strengthening service quality, improving destination readiness, and enhancing ease of doing business across the sector.”What the Buddhist Circuit CoversSome prime Buddhist attractions in the Northeast region include:In Arunachal Pradesh:Tawang Monastery — One of the largest Buddhist monasteries in India In SikkimRumtek Monastery Enchey Monastery in Gangtok In AssamHayagriva Madhava Temple in Hajo — A site revered by Buddhists as well as HindusIn ManipurHosts historic Buddhist communities and templesIn MizoramThere are several Buddhist heritage sites which underscore the diversity beyond common travel circuits. In TripuraKalachand Temple and other heritage sitesThere’s no doubt that these states struggle because of lack of proper infrastructure and harsh weather. But things look positive for these states now as the Buddhist Circuit scheme in the Northeast stands as one of Union Budget 2026’s most visionary travel announcements.

Rose Byrne discusses motherhood challenges amid first Oscar campaign

Rose Byrne has reflected on her real-life challenges with motherhood, while currently being nominated for playing a struggling mom in the comedy drama If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.

During a recent conversation with The Times, the Australian native candidly described life as a mother as often being a shameful experience.

Admitting that while raising children, they can “lose their shape” for a parent, the actress said, “That’s totally an experience I’ve had as a parent and there is shame you feel around that.”

“You don’t want to feel like you don’t love your child, but there is a grief around becoming a mother, because you lose part of yourself that you will never, ever, ever, ever, ever get back.”

However, she explained, “It’s okay to grieve that — in fact, we should. Because it’s a before and an after.”

Rose, 46, is a mother to two sons — Rocco, born 2016 and Rafael, born 2017 — whom she shares with her fellow actor husband, Bobby Cannavale.

Due to welcoming her children only a year apart, the X-Men alum said back in 2018 that she was left feeling “completely overwhelmed” most of the time.

“Oh, man, it is what it is,” she told MiNDFOOD. “I’m always thinking I’m going to be on top of everything and I never am. I’m always completely overwhelmed. I have no business telling anyone how to do parenting. I’m totally learning on the job.”

Rose Byrne is currently up for a leading actress Oscar, thanks to her work in the A24-distributed If I Had Legs I’d Kick You. The performance also earned her a Golden Globe for best actress – musical or comedy earlier this year.

How long does it take the sun to rotate on its axis | – The Times of India

How long does it take the sun to rotate on its axis | - The Times of India

The Sun turns, but not in the way a solid object would. It has no hard surface, no fixed edge to follow. What scientists describe as solar rotation comes from watching patterns move across a glowing, restless face. That motion matters because it shapes the Sun’s behaviour, from quiet stretches to bursts of activity. Over decades, observations have settled on broad timescales rather than exact figures. The result is an answer that depends on where you look and how closely you choose to look. The Sun rotates, but it does so unevenly, and that unevenness is part of its nature.

The sun takes 25 Earth days to rotate on its axis

The most widely used measure of the Sun’s rotation comes from watching sunspots drift across its face. Near the equator, the Sun completes one rotation in about 25 Earth days. Closer to the poles, that same turn takes closer to 36 days. This difference happens because the Sun is made of plasma, not solid rock, allowing regions to move more freely.

Rotation slows toward the solar poles

Away from the equator, the pace changes. Near the poles, a full spin takes closer to 36 days. The transition is gradual rather than sharp. Latitude by latitude, the surface drifts at slightly different rates. This pattern, known as differential rotation, is a basic feature of the Sun and has been observed for more than a century.

Sunspots reveal how rotation is measured

Sunspots operate as markings on the solar surface. By observing how long they take to resurface at the same spot, researchers determine rotation rates. Measurements are averages rather than exact clocks since these dark areas dissipate and regenerate. Over time, patterns form, but tiny differences remain.

The Sun’s slow spin shapes solar activity

Rotation silently shapes the Sun’s magnetic field. As the areas move at varying speeds, magnetic lines stretch and twist. Although the association is gradual rather than direct, this mechanism plays a role in solar flares and eruptions. Years, not days, are when changes take place.

The Sun rotates while moving through the galaxy

While spinning on its axis, the Sun is also travelling around the centre of the Milky Way. One full orbit of the galaxy takes about 230 million Earth years. Against that scale, the Sun’s rotation feels brief, almost incidental, yet it remains central to how our star behaves and changes over time.
