Lewis Hamilton’s ex Nicole Scherzinger’s pals ring alarm bells over Kim Kardashian romance

Lewis Hamilton’s and Kim Kardashian’s romance has pals of his ex worried.

Hamilton and Kardashian have been reportedly dating since December. The two have been spotted together in London, the Cotswolds and Aspen since New Year’s Eve.

However, the Formula 1 star’s ex Nicole Scherzinger’s pals are worried he may do to the reality star what he did to the singer.

A source close to the Buttons singer told The Sun: “Lewis was the master of blowing hot and cold.”

“One minute he would be buying her gifts and saying he loved her, the next he would cause an enormous argument and then ignore her for days,” they claimed.

“There was a real nasty streak. She would often be left in tears after rows with him. He seemed to be a lot more interested in hanging out with his ‘bros’, than with his girlfriend,” they added.

Hamilton and the Pussycat Dolls member dated on-and-off from 2007 through 2015.

After their final breakup, Nicole said she was “devastated that it didn’t work out,” and that it “was the hardest decision we had to make.”

Currently, Kardashian and Hamilton are both in Paris staying at the swanky Le Bristol hotel while Kim promotes her new NikeSKIMS range, per the Daily Mail.

‘Bharat Taxi’ With Zero Commision, Surge- Free Pricing To Launch On Feb. 5 After Successful Pilot Operation

'Bharat Taxi' With Zero Commision, Surge- Free Pricing To Launch On Feb. 5 After Successful Pilot Operation

Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will launch ‘Bharat Taxi’, India’s first cooperative-led ride-hailing platform, on Thursday after a successful two-month pilot operation, an official statement said.

The service aims to expand across all states and cities within two years.

Registered under the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002, and established on June 6, 2025, Bharat Taxi operates on a zero-commission and surge-free pricing model with direct profit distribution to drivers. This positions it as an indigenous alternative to foreign investment-based platforms.

Backed by eight top cooperative organisations, the platform began pilot operations on December 2 in Delhi-NCR and Gujarat, challenging established players like Ola, Uber and Rapido.

The ministry claims it has emerged as the world’s first and largest cooperative-based ride-hailing platform and the world’s largest driver-owned mobility platform.

Since its launch, over 3 lakh drivers have joined the platform, more than 1 lakh users have registered, and over 10,000 rides completed daily in Delhi-NCR and Gujarat.

Around Rs 10 crore have been distributed directly to drivers so far. The platform prioritises social security for drivers—called ‘Sarathis’—through health insurance, accident insurance, retirement savings and a dedicated support system.

Support centres operate at seven locations in Delhi.

The platform provides emergency assistance, verified ride data and allows drivers to work on other platforms without exclusivity clauses. To promote women’s empowerment, Bharat Taxi launched “Bike Didi”, under which over 150 women drivers have joined the platform.

“In the coming years, Bharat Taxi aims to expand to all states and cities across the country within the next two years, establish dedicated support centres in every state, further strengthen drivers’ social security, and develop a sustainable, inclusive, and cooperative-based mobility ecosystem through deeper integration with national digital public infrastructure,” the statement said.

During Thursday’s launch, the top six performing Sarathis will be honoured for their contributions. Shah will distribute share certificates to these drivers, reinforcing the ‘Sarathi Hi Malik’ (driver is the owner) principle.

Each honoured Sarathi will receive personal accident insurance of Rs 5 lakh and family health insurance of Rs 5 lakh. Nine MoUs will be signed with public and private stakeholders to strengthen operational integration, digital empowerment, safety and service delivery.

Over 1,200 Sarathis from across the country are expected to attend the launch, reflecting the platform’s growing reach and drivers’ confidence in the cooperative model.

NYC antisemitic incidents nearly triple despite other crimes reaching record lows

Antisemitic incidents in New York City nearly tripled in January as other crimes hit record lows, according to police data released on Tuesday.

Anti-Jewish hate crimes soared 182%, with 31 reported incidents versus 11 in January 2025, the NYPD said. These incidents accounted for more than half of all hate crime in January, which stood at 56 — an increase of 152% over the same period last year.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) for the New York and New Jersey region called the 182% spike “staggering” in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“From swastikas at a playground in Boro Park to a car ramming at Chabad headquarters in Crown Heights, the Jewish community in NYC is very much on edge,” said Scott Richman, ADL regional director. “In the face of this, we urge Mayor Mamdani to quickly name the next head of the Mayor’s Office to Combat Antisemitism and to appoint a leader who will both represent this diverse Jewish community and confront ALL forms of antisemitism.”

While hate crime incidents skyrocketed, the NYPD reported that shooting incidents, shooting victims and murders all hit record lows, marking what the NYPD described as “the safest January ever” in these categories.

The city saw 40 shooting incidents and 47 shooting victims, compared to the previous all-time lows of 50 and 56, set in 2025 and 2019, respectively, the data shows. Murders fell to 12, breaking the previous record of 22 set in 2018 and 2022.

Overall crime in the city dropped 6.7%, with declines in burglary, robbery, auto theft, grand larceny and felony assault, according to the data.

MAMDANI PLEDGED TO FIGHT FOR ALL BUT SCRAPPED ORDER JEWISH STUDENTS SAY PROTECTED THEM

Former Mayor Eric Adams signed an executive order before leaving office that tied the city’s definition of antisemitism to that of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), which labeled antisemitism as “hatred toward Jews.” The IHRA provides examples of what falls under its definition, including “[d]enying the Jewish people their right to self-determination,” and “[a]pplying double standards by requiring of [Israel] a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation.

US longest-serving Senator Mitch McConnell, 83, hospitalized after flu-like symptoms

Senior Republican Senator Mitch McConnell was hospitalized following flu-like symptoms on Monday night, February 2, 2026.

In a statement on Tuesday, the politician’s office said that Senator McConnell checked himself into the hospital “in abundance of caution”, adding, “His prognosis is positive.”

His spokesperson, David Popp, said, “The senator is grateful for the excellent care he is receiving. He is in regular contact with his staff and looks forward to returning to Senate business.”

One of the oldest, and the longest-serving senator in the history of the United States (U.S.) is currently 83 years of age. The former Senate GOP leader announced that he will retire at the end of his current term and will not seek reelection in 2026.

McConnell has had several health issues over the past few years, including a fractured shoulder after a fall at his Kentucky home in 2019 and a concussion in 2023.

He is one of the most outspoken senators from the Republican party and has voted against several high-profile nominations by President Donald Trump.

McConnell was the only senator to vote against the nomination of Tulsi Gabbard for the position of Director of National Intelligence and one of the three to oppose the confirmation of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

Streaming-only Super Bowl ads give small brands a shot at the big game

The Super Bowl is prime real estate every year for advertisers eager to get their brands in front of millions of consumers at once. It’s also costly.

That’s why a small subset of ad space for streaming-only commercials is gaining traction and granting smaller brands time during TV’s biggest night of the year.

Comcast’s NBC broadcast network will air Super Bowl 60 this year, with the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots facing off from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. NBC’s streaming service, Peacock, will simulcast the event. While streaming has generally become the overwhelmingly popular way to consume content, the Super Bowl is still primarily watched via the broadcast network.

The streaming simulcast — gaining viewers each year — features certain ad spots earmarked only for that audience.

Streaming-only spots make up about 10% of the full ad inventory during the Super Bowl and cost about half of what a traditional TV commercial goes for, said Mark Marshall, NBC’s chairman of global advertising and partnerships.

“So cheaper, but still not cheap,” said Marshall. “And part of it is also you don’t have many of these spots, right? So I think people caught on to this trick over the past couple years, and it’s done really well in streaming. And as a result, a lot of people are lining up and wanting to do that.”

Each year the cost of the national ads for the Super Bowl breaks a record. NBC sold out of ad inventory for the Super Bowl, averaging $8 million per 30-second commercial, with between five and 10 ads selling for more than $10 million each, CNBC previously reported.

The streaming-only ads, which still appear nationally, fill the slots that would host regional commercials during the traditional TV broadcast.

These spots bring in new advertisers outside of the mainstays like Budweiser and Lay’s. All of the Peacock-only commercials this year are new advertisers to NBC’s Super Bowl slate, Marshall said. For example, cowboy boots brand Tecovas and family location safety app Life360 both bought streaming-only ad spots this year.

The chief marketing officers for both brands noted the impact of the Super Bowl — as well as steep cost — in explaining their decision to go all in on Peacock.

Tecovas CMO Krista Dalton in an email called the company’s debut via streaming “a deliberate choice,” allowing the brand to get the impact of the Super Bowl with “a highly engaged environment while staying disciplined with our investment.”

Life360 CMO Mike Zeman said via email, “Streaming is a great way for us to test what being integrated into such a monumental cultural moment can deliver to our brand and business. It allows us to reach a massive, highly engaged audience of modern, connected families with an ‘out of pocket’ investment that doesn’t break the bank or occupy too large a percentage of our overall marketing budget.”

Last year nearly 128 million viewers watched the Super Bowl on TV and via streaming, according to Nielsen.

While NBC has had a digital offering for its last four Super Bowl telecasts, Marshall said more advertisers have been vying for streaming space as the platform reached 44 million subscribers.

And fittingly, that growth has been driven largely by NBC’s push into live sports. This month NBC will air the Super Bowl and the Winter Olympics — which begin on Friday — along with the NBA All-Star game. It’s a live sports slate the company is billing as “Legendary February.”

“It’s obviously a huge year for NBC, and Peacock is more sold out than usual. We’re seeing a lot of brands leaning in with Peacock,” said Doug Paladino of ad agency PMG.

Paladino noted brands have seen good results advertising during “Sunday Night Football” games that are simulcast on Peacock, particularly due to the audience targeting capabilities on streaming.

The streaming-only commercials can also be something of an on-ramp for burgeoning brands that want to get their foot in the door of the big game.

Last year, direct-to-consumer health startup Ro bought its first ad during the Super Bowl — on Fox’s streaming service Tubi.

“The results that they got out of the Super Bowl for what they paid were an order of magnitude above what the traditional spot is,” said Philip Inghelbrecht, co-founder and CEO of ad tech firm Tatari, which worked with brands to place streaming-only and traditional TV ads in the Super Bowl, including Ro in both 2025 and 2026.

This year, Ro, which offers access to GLP-1 medications and telehealth appointments, ramped up its commitment to the Super Bowl and bought a spot in the traditional game broadcast on NBC. Tennis superstar Serena Williams will anchor the ad.

“Last year we dipped our toes into advertising in the Super Bowl through a buy on Tubi. It was a really attractive chance for us to really understand how our brand and our creative performed in that environment,” said Will Flaherty, senior vice president of growth at Ro.

Smaller brands have other more-affordable options to test the waters, too.

Manscaped, the men’s grooming company, decided to buy a spot before kickoff — a time slot less coveted than during the game itself, but still pricey — to push the next chapter of its business.

“Manscaped is a brand that has been around for a few years now, but we’re at this very important moment in our trajectory, which is a big push for products beyond the groin, which is our first claim to fame,” said Chief Marketing Officer Marcelo Kertesz. “We have something new to communicate to the world.”

“We know the spot itself is just one piece of it, a very important and very expensive piece of it, but it does make sense for us to do that in this moment,” said Kertesz. “It’s a desire I would guess all brands, at some point, have to be on that stage.”

Harrison Ford raves about Michael J. Fox in ‘Shrinking’

Harrison Ford is raving about his role in the Apple TV series Shrinking, in which he portrays a character with Parkinson’s.

But in the show’s latest season, Michael J. Fox appeared, which was significant given that he had retired from acting due to the same disease the series focuses on.

Ford warmly recalls working with him in season three, stating it is important for him to portray the character right because he is sharing a screen with an actor who has been suffering from the disease since 1991.

“It was a bit daunting when I thought about it, because I am representing a character that has Parkinson’s, and Michael, of course, has the real thing,” he says on a panel part of Apple TV’s inaugural press day in Santa Monica. “I’ve always felt a real sense of responsibility for getting that part of my story right.”

He gushes about his co-star Fox, stating, “But Michael is an extraordinary, generous and lovely fellow, who I did not know at all and had a chance to, just working on this show.”

Ford did not stop there; he further praised Fox, saying, “It was an extraordinary experience to work with him. He is such a powerful presence. Such grace and courage and indomitability, and some of that, I hope, will help me color my portrayal of a character with Parkinson’s.”

“That’s the serious part of it. But the fun part of it was there as well. It was an extraordinary experience, I think for all of us, to be with Michael and see how he does what he does. He’s so funny as well.”

Shrinking is streaming on Apple TV.

From glittering turban stones and temple “eyes” to Cartier showpieces and the British Crown Jewels, many of South Asia’s most famous gems crossed continents during the 18th–19th centuries. Some were war booty, others diplomatic “gifts” made under duress; a few were sold in London diamond markets. The headlines keep coming, most recently when Margot Robbie wore a vintage Cartier “Taj Mahal” necklace with Mughal provenance to a film premiere, prompting renewed talk about provenance, empire and the ethics of wearing historic jewels today.

Margot Robbie In Elizabeth Taylor’s Taj Mahal Diamond – From Mughal Legacy To Across The Seas

The heart-shaped diamond, which belongs to Elizabeth Taylor’s vast jewellery collection, is engraved with the words “Love is Everlasting,” along with the name Nur Jahan. Historians believe the gem was gifted by Mughal Emperor Jahangir to his wife Nur Jahan, and later passed to their son, Emperor Shah Jahan, who gave the diamond to his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. When she died during childbirth in 1631, he was devastated and built the Taj Mahal in her memory.

In 1971, Cartier acquired the gem and created a necklace inspired by traditional Indian design, which found its way to Elizabeth Taylor and now Margot Robbie.

The Patiala Necklace began life as a 1925 Cartier commission from Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala

Patiala Necklace: Maharaja Bhupinder Singh’s Cartier showpiece

The Patiala Necklace began life as a 1925 Cartier commission from Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala: a decadent order that included thousands of diamonds and large coloured stones assembled into a multi-strand collar. After India’s princely order collapsed and royal treasuries were dispersed, parts of the necklace vanished, some stones appearing later at auctions and in private hands. In the late 20th century Cartier reconstructed the surviving mountings (using replicas where stones were missing) and the recreated piece became an emblem of both princely splendour and the messy afterlife of colonial-era jewel dispersal.

The Peacock Throne: Mughal Majesty And The First Great Dispersal Of Jewels

The legendary Peacock Throne of Shah Jahan was the apogee of Mughal court opulence: an ivory-and-gold structure set with dozens of famous gems that symbolised imperial power. When Nader Shah of Persia sacked Delhi in 1739 the throne’s treasures were taken to Persia; many individual stones from that hoard later surfaced in other royal treasuries across Asia and Europe. The sack of Delhi shattered Mughal wealth and set a pattern: once-centralised Mughal gems became dispersed spoils, later moving again as empires expanded and traded hands.

Koh-i-Noor: From Mughal Turban To The British Crown Jewels

The Koh-i-Noor is perhaps the single most contested stone connected to India’s imperial past. It passed through Delhi Sultanate and Mughal treasuries before reaching the Sikh court. After the Second Anglo-Sikh War (1849) the young Maharaja Duleep Singh was compelled under treaty terms to part with the diamond; it was presented to Queen Victoria and later recut and set into British royal jewellery. The Koh-i-Noor’s story is as much about geology as it is about power: its modern home in the Tower of London remains a focal point for claims and calls for repatriation from India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Darya-i-Noor: The Pale Pink Giant

The Darya-i-Noor (Darya-ye Nur) is a rare pale-pink diamond, one of the world’s largest of its colour, that today sits in Iran’s national treasure trove. Scholars trace its origins to the same legendary Golconda mines that produced many famous Indian diamonds. The Darya-i-Noor entered Persian collections after Nader Shah’s invasions and later Qajar monarchs set elaborate frames around it; it remains displayed in Tehran as part of Iran’s imperial jewels. Its history illustrates how stones looted from India in the 18th century became embedded in other nations’ crown collections.

The Nashik Diamond And Other Temple Stones

Stories of temple-set gems, eyes and crown-stones on idols, feature repeatedly in gem lore. It is widely known that many temple jewels were appropriated during colonial wars and market sales, then recut and sold through London and Paris. The Nassak (Nashik) diamond, taken from the Trimbakeshwar Shiva temple during the early 19th century and sold into the London market, is one of the examples of a temple gem’s long migration.
