Super Bowl 2026 commercials: Athletes include Serena, more

Super Bowl LX between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks boasts star power on the field, in the stands — and in the commercials.

While some fans come for the gridiron action, others tune in to the NFL’s marquee game of the season for the ads. There’s often a hefty price attached to Super Bowl commercials, and this year is no different. According to CNBC, 30-second slots averaged $8 million and some sold for more than $10 million. However, the right ad can be priceless.

Athletes will be scattered throughout the commercials during Super Bowl LX. Peyton Manning returns for Bud Light, a plethora of the NFL’s greatest tight ends team up and Derrick Henry shows off his arm talent.

Here’s a look at the top commercials during Super Bowl LX that feature athletes.

Star-studded cast models glasses of the future

Athletes are no strangers to Oakley sunglasses — Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes even has his own collection. Therefore, it’s only right that Oakley tapped multiple athletes to highlight its new “Oakley Meta Performance AI glasses.”

Former Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch gets it started by skydiving before skater Sky Brown, cyclist Kate Courtney and golfer Akshay Bhatia join in, participating in their respective sports. Internet personality iShowSpeed and filmmaker Spike Lee are also part of the ad, which showcases the various functions of Oakley’s glasses.

A lesson on the links

In the spirit of the Winter Olympics, Michelob Ultra decided to bring out the skis with instructions from actor Kurt Russell. The commercial begins with actor Lewis Pullman losing in a race, meaning he’ll have to buy a round of Michelob Ultra.

Russell notices Pullman’s defeat and decides to train him. Pullman wins the next race, pulling off a backflip on skis, receiving approval from Olympic snowboarding gold medalist Chloe Kim and Stanley Cup winner T.J. Oshie.

Peyton returns for Bud Light

The two-time Super Bowl champion had a prime spot with Bud Light for a 2025 commercial with comedian Shane Gillis and musician Post Malone. Manning, Gillis and Malone are back this year in an ad simply titled: “Keg.”

While at a wedding, Manning holds a glass of Bud Light he describes as “first beer of the wedding.” Malone asks: “Is there enough for everyone?” before Manning points to a keg being rolled into the ceremony. However, the keg falls down a hill, sparking members of the wedding — bride and groom included — rolling down to grab it.

Tight ends unite for an important cause

Medicine company Novartis tapped a group of current and former NFL tight ends to spread awareness about prostate cancer screening. From Jake Olson and Tony Gonzalez to George Kittle and Rob Gronkowski, the men are shown in relaxing states while calming music plays in the background.

Halfway through the commercial, Super Bowl-winning head coach Bruce Arians shares why the tight ends are so relaxed — they’ve learned that a simple blood test can detect prostate cancer, easing challenges of detecting it. Arians asks Gronkowski to show what the coach taught him. And Gronk, as you probably guessed, relaxes his tight end to get the point across.

Henry shows off arm during trolley tour

Trolley tours are a key part of the San Francisco experience. Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry and actress Kathryn Hahn hopped on a trolley themselves, but when it struggled to get up a hill, Hahn hopped out to push it back up.

She handed her Oikos to Henry, then proceeded to get the trolley rolling back up and away from her. However, her Oikos remained with Henry, who delivered it to her with a throw reminiscent of those of his quarterback, Lamar Jackson.

Serena shares fitness journey

Tennis icon Serena Williams is back with a Super Bowl ad that highlights her health changes — including losing 34 pounds — while on Ro’s GLP-1.

Katie Price defends marriage to Lee Andrews after receiving multiple warnings

Katie Price has finally broken the silence on her fourth marriage to Lee Andrews, insisting, “I’m not stupid.”

Last Month, the 47-year-old supermodel shocked her fans when she revealed she had exchanged vows with the businessman in Dubai.

But her new marriage has raised concerns due to Lee’s controversial past and his colourful history with women. Several of his exes also issued public warnings to Katie, urging her to “run for the hills.”

In a new vlog, the former glamour model defended her marriage to Lee.

“I’m going back to Dubai, obviously going back to see Lee. I’ve made no comments about anything, I don’t feel I need to make comments about anything,” she began.

Katie further said, “I’m fully aware like everyone else, I see stuff, I get sent stuff. What I want everyone to know is, I’m a grown a**e woman.”

“I’m 48 this year, I’m not a young kid. I’ve learned a lot in the past few years, through therapy and learning to love myself. So I’m not stupid, I know what I’m doing and if I’m happy that’s all that matters,” she continued.

“At the end of the day, no one knows what I know. It’s only been speculated by the press,” added katie. “I am very happy and that’s all that matters. That happy that I’m going back to Dubai for the weekend. So I can’t wait.”

India US Trade: Jewellery stocks rally

Jewellery stocks, including Titan, Kalyan Jewellers, Senco Gold and PC Jeweller rallied up to 12% on Monday, February 9, after India and the US released a joint statement outlining a framework for an Interim Trade Agreement (ITA) — the first step towards a broader Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA).

The announcement brought much-needed tariff clarity for export-linked sectors, with the gems and jewellery space emerging as a key beneficiary.

The US remains one of the largest consumption markets for Indian jewellery exports, and market participants said the deal could directly support manufacturers, exporters and organised retailers with global exposure. Investor sentiment strengthened as the framework also signalled potential tariff removals on a wider set of products over time, improving the medium-term outlook for the sector.

Under the framework, the US will apply an 18% reciprocal tariff on Indian goods such as textiles and apparel, leather and footwear, jewellery, plastics and rubber, organic chemicals, home décor, artisanal products and certain machinery, while outlining the potential removal of reciprocal tariffs on a broader product basket.

In exchange, the US will receive tariff cuts across sectors including food and agricultural products, along with long-term commitments from India, including Rs 500 billion in planned purchases over five years. Additionally, the 25% Russian oil-related duty on Indian imports will be removed, subject to India ceasing Russian oil imports and committing to US energy purchases, with a monitoring mechanism in place.

Stocks rally across the jewellery pack

Buying interest was visible across the jewellery segment through the session.

Kalyan Jewellers surged over 11.7% to Rs 424.30, while Senco Gold climbed nearly 7% to Rs 355.75. P N Gadgil Jewellers advanced about 6% to Rs 582.15, and Thangamayil Jewellery rose over 5% to Rs 3,555.30. PC Jeweller gained around 4% to Rs 10.56, while Titan Company moved up over 2% to Rs 4,227.80, as investors priced in a stronger export outlook following the trade agreement framework.

Boost for the sector

Industry participants said the clarity on tariffs could help revive export volumes that were hit hard in recent years and restore confidence across the value chain.

“The announcement of zero tariff on gems & diamonds is a momentous one and well rejoiced by the Indian gems & jewellery sector. India being the global hub for diamond processing, was impacted severely due to the trade tariffs, where trade had dropped over 60% when it comes to cut & polished diamonds. The waiver of tariff will help revive exports and reinstate the sparkle in business,” said Colin Shah, Managing Director, Kama Jewelry.

Shah added that the industry is grateful to the Indian government and the Ministry of Commerce for the negotiations, noting that the move would not only provide a strong boost to the sector but also contribute meaningfully to the broader goal of Aatmanirbhar Bharat by adding long-term value and supporting domestic manufacturing and exports.

Prince William defies King Charles over major Andrew decision

Prince William made his feelings clear regarding the calls for a criminal probe of his ‘disgraced’ uncle, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, following the release of new information in the Epstein files.

The Prince of Wales’ close pal revealed that he wants Britons and people across the world to respect the monarchy by standing with the truth.

Notably, William has reportedly ‘defied’ his father, King Charles, as he seemingly does not want his brother to testify in court.

Royal expert Tom Sykes shared, “Friends of William have told me that he would have ‘no hesitation’ in letting it be known that Andrew should face a ‘probe’ police investigation if he were king.”

William “genuinely believes the monarchy cannot remain popular and respected if it does not at least give the appearance of respecting the principle that no man is above the law,” said the royal commentator.

On the other hand, King Charles has “no desire” for a police inquiry in Andrew’s case. Instead, the monarch has reportedly continued to financially support his brother following his move from Royal Lodge to Wood Lodge.

Duncan Larcombe, another royal expert, stated, “I think the King will pay what needs to be paid and will fund his brother, in a way, he’s kind of got no choice.”

CORTINA D’AMPEZZO: Lindsey Vonn’s audacious bid to win Olympic downhill gold with a ruptured ACL lasted 13 seconds on Sunday as the American great suffered a horrific crash early in her run and was taken to hospital.

Vonn, 41, whose battle to reach the start line despite her knee injury dominated the opening days of the Milano Cortina Olympics, saw her unlikely quest end in agony.

Wearing bib number 13 and with a brace on the knee she injured in a crash at Crans Montana on January 30, Vonn looked pumped up at the start gate, tapping her ski poles before setting off in typically aggressive fashion.

Vonn has a deep knowledge of Cortina’s Olimpia delle Tofane, having enjoyed 12 of her 84 World Cup wins on it during a glittering career, but she appeared to clip the fourth gate with her shoulder, losing control and being launched into the air.

She then barrelled off the sunlit course at high speed before coming to rest in a crumpled heap.

Vonn could be heard screaming on television coverage as fans and teammates gasped in horror before a shocked hush fell on the packed finish area.

She was quickly surrounded by several medics and officials before a yellow helicopter arrived and winched her off the course bound up in an orange stretcher.

The helicopter took Vonn to Cortina’s Codivilla Putti Hospital for a medical assessment. As it flew overhead towards the town, spectators applauded.

There was no immediate word on her condition.

Skiers left shocked

Fellow American Breezy Johnson, the world champion who had set the fastest time, covered her eyes and looked away as the helicopter was called. Johnson was later crowned champion but it was a bitter-sweet day for the team.

“My heart goes out to her,” Johnson said. “When you love the course so much and it hurts you like that it hurts even more.”

Vonn, the 2010 downhill champion and who took bronze in 2018, had been hoping to become the oldest Alpine skiing Olympic medallist after winning two World Cup races this year.

Arguably the highest-profile athlete at the Games, the American’s crash sent shockwaves across day two.

Her teammate, downhill skier Bryce Bennett, watching in the town square on a big screen in Bormio where the men’s races are staged, was left stunned by what he had seen.

“It’s obviously a bummer. It’s just like the risk of downhill is high and … Like, everyone makes it look so easy when it’s going smooth and then you see how quickly it can go in the other direction,” he told Reuters.

“Her right leg didn’t look so good, but we’ll see.”

Vonn risked too much

Even TV commentators were visibly shaken by Vonn’s crash.

Double Olympic gold medallist Tina Maze, working for Eurosport, said Vonn had risked too much in her run.

“Of course, if you’re not health,y then the consequences are even worse, but we know all Lindsey,” she said. “It’s her decision that she wanted to do this no matter what.

“It’s really tough for everyone here to see this and especially for her family and her teammates and everyone working with her. I mean it’s terrible.”

FIS president Johan Eliasch gave his thoughts on the crash.

“Tragic, but it’s ski racing, right? And I can only say, thank you for what she has done for our sport because this race has been the talk of the Games and it’s put our sport in the best possible light. I hope she will have a speedy recovery, and is back on skis very, very soon.”

Vonn’s sister, Karin Kildow, said she had put her ‘whole heart’ into racing at the Olympics, especially as it was being staged on a course she loves so much.

“That’s definitely the last thing we wanted to see,” she told NBC. “When that happens, you’re just immediately hoping she’s okay, and it was scary.

“She dared greatly, and she put it all out there.”
