Pakistani actress Hania Aamir's viral "Bride" video sparks wedding buzz with Asim Azhar – But is it real? - The Times of India

Hania Aamir has that rare charm – winning hearts across Pakistan and India with her bubbly vibe, killer style, and unfiltered life updates. Even with stricter bans on Pakistani stars in India post-Pahalgam attack, fans sneak peeks via social media. Now, a dreamy video of Hania dressed as a glowing bride has the internet in meltdown mode. Is Pakistan’s sweetheart tying the knot? Spoiler: it’s got everyone guessing wildly!

The video that’s breaking the internet

Picture this: Hania in a stunning yellow lehenga, dupatta veiling her head, gajras adorning her wrists, dancing joyfully beside singer Asim Azhar. The vibe screams mehendi or sangeet night – perfect couple energy! Fans lost it, flooding comments with “Finally!” and heart-eyes emojis. But Reddit sleuths quickly debunked it: nope, not a wedding. It’s a wedding-themed birthday bash for Hania. One user nailed the confusion: “Someone about to marry in weeks throws a shaadi party? Hania could, though – she’s wild!” Another gushed, “They look so in love, Ma Sha Allah!” A third wrote, “Finally one frame together!” That’s pure fan frenzy.Watch the video here

Hania and Asim: From dating rumours to rekindled sparks?

For the unversed, Hania and Asim’s chemistry dates back years. Linked since 2018, they split around 2020–21 (Hania called them “just friends”). Asim got engaged to influencer Merub Ali, but that ended mutually in June 2025. Post-breakup, Hania and Asim’s sightings exploded: from airport runs with Asim masking up, to matching “yellow cap” moments, and Hania showing up at his events. Fans decode their every post – his album Asim Ali (“Lost n Found” vibes?), her flirty comments. And now, their wedding whispers for 2026 are everywhere, with astrologers chiming in (some predict bliss, others divorce?). When asked about it, Hania once cheekily replied to a fan, “Yes, I’ve heard it too.” So, is their relationship just a PR stunt or the real deal? Well, there are no confirmations yet.

Why Indians can’t easily follow Hania anymore

Post-Pahalgam attack in 2025, India’s government blocked Pakistani celebs’ interactions on social media. Hania’s main Insta went dark for Indian viewers, so she launched @Naamtousunahogaa – another social media profile. A post there- “Ye mere andar downfall me bhi mauj masti karne ki himmat aa kaha se rahi hai” won Indian hearts. But Pakistani fans trolled her, with some saying, “Not getting Bollywood entry anytime soon!” Meanwhile, Hania stays unbothered, sharing life boldly.Hania’s magic? She’s real – gaming geek, fashion icon, and relationship tea-spiller.What do you think of Hania and Asim – are they really together? Will they marry soon? Only time can tell!

SEBI Proposes Overhaul Of Gold And Silver ETF Price Bands After Sharp Swings

SEBI Proposes Overhaul Of Gold And Silver ETF Price Bands After Sharp Swings

Last Updated:

SEBI proposes stricter base price and band rules for gold, silver ETFs, including cooling-off periods after sharp global price swings to curb volatility.

Amid Global Commodity Volatility, SEBI Plans New Price Band Rules for Gold, Silver ETFs

Amid Global Commodity Volatility, SEBI Plans New Price Band Rules for Gold, Silver ETFs

The market regulator has sought to curb extreme volatility in gold and silver Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) by proposing changes to the base price and price band framework. Currently, there are no separate price bands for ETFs aligned with their underlying assets, making them vulnerable to sharp price movements.

The proposal comes after sharp volatility in gold and silver ETFs triggered by fluctuations in global commodity prices. On some days, these ETFs fell by over 15%, while on others, they recorded sharp gains.

Stock exchanges currently apply a fixed price band of plus or minus 20% on the base price of ETFs, except for Overnight ETFs investing only in TREPs, which have a price band of plus or minus 5%.

Moreover, the base price for applying price bands to ETFs is taken as the T-2 day closing Net Asset Value (NAV) by exchanges, instead of the T-1 day closing NAV or price, as is the case with indices and individual stocks. This creates a challenge, as the closing NAV of ETFs typically differs between T-1 and T-2 days. Corporate actions such as bonuses and dividends are adjusted manually, increasing the risk of errors.

What Are the Key Proposals?

SEBI has proposed that the base price be determined using either the closing price of the ETF on T-1 day (weighted average price of the last 30 minutes), the closing NAV of T-1 day, or the average indicative NAV (iNAV) of the last 30 minutes of T-1 day.

Further, the regulator has proposed an initial price band of plus or minus 10% for equity and debt ETFs, which can be flexed up to plus or minus 20%. A cooling-off period of 15 minutes will apply, and up to two flexes will be allowed in a day.

For gold and silver ETFs, the regulator has proposed an initial price band of plus or minus 6%, which can be flexed up to plus or minus 20%. This will also include a 15-minute cooling-off period.

Queen Camilla takes bold stand for survivor after Andrew’s exit:

Queen Camilla has made it a goal of her life to stand with rape survivors, encouraging and uniting them to combat this societal menace.

The 78-year-old won hearts with her latest move amid Andrew’s fallout over his connections to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Camilla wrote a personal letter to a rape survivor, expressing her “heartfelt admiration for the courage, grace and dignity” with which the lady faced the crimes committed against her.

In her letter, the Queen told Pelicot that she had “inspired women across the globe” and “created a powerful legacy that will change the narrative around shame, forever”.

The victim lauded the Queen for her heartwarming gesture, revealing: “It was an honour for me to receive this letter, I wasn’t expecting it at all.”

The survivor got emotional as she explained her feelings, saying: “overwhelmed that the Queen could send me this letter”.

It was a complete surprise to Pelicot as she said: “Although my words touched the whole world, I wasn’t expecting a letter from the Court of England.”

Pelicot suffered nearly a decade of abuse at the hands of her former husband, who repeatedly drugged her and subjected her to rape.

He also recruited men through the internet to assault her.

Pelicot made the remarkable decision to give up her legal right to remain anonymous. The trial, that transformed her into an international symbol of resilience and strength, continued 15-week in Avignon in 2024.

Her aim was to ensure that “shame swap sides” from the victim to the rapist.

Queen Camilla’s decision clarifies her stance amid Andrew-Epstein links as she affirms her support for survivors.

Startup India FoF 2.0: The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has approved the establishment of the Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0 (Startup India FoF 2.0) with a total corpus of Rs. 10,000 crore for the purpose of mobilizing venture capital for the startup ecosystem of the country.

It is aimed to boost the next phase of India’s startup journey by mobilising long-term domestic capital, strengthening the venture capital ecosystem, and supporting innovation-led entrepreneurship across the country.

Launched under the Startup India initiative, Startup India FoF 2.0 builds on nearly a decade of sustained efforts to make India one of the world’s leading startup nations.

A fund of funds (FoF) is an investment vehicle that does not invest directly in startups or companies. Instead, it invests in other venture capital or private equity funds. This helps spread risk and allows the money to be managed by experienced fund managers.

Key Features Of Startup India FoF 2.0

Startup India FoF 2.0 is designed to take Indian innovation to the next level. The new fund will have a targeted, segmented funding approach to support:

Deep tech and tech-driven innovative manufacturing: Prioritizing breakthroughs in high-tech areas that require patient, long-term capital.

Empowering early-growth stage founders: Providing a safety net for new and innovative ideas, reducing early-stage failures caused by lack of funding.

National reach: Encouraging investment beyond major metros so that, the innovation thrives in every corner of the country.

Designed to address high‑risk capital gaps: Directing greater capital to priority areas that are important for self-reliance and boosting economic growth.

Strengthen India’s domestic venture capital base, particularly smaller funds to further boost the domestic investment landscape.

Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0 is expected to play a critical role in advancing India’s innovation-led growth agenda. By supporting startups that build globally competitive technologies, products, and solutions, the Fund will contribute to strengthening India’s economic resilience, boosting manufacturing capabilities, generating high-quality jobs, and positioning India as a global innovation hub.

Should You Drink Water Before Sleeping At Night?

Should You Drink Water Before Sleeping At Night?

Is that pre-sleep glass of water a metabolic boost or a recipe for ruined rest?

Should You Drink Water Before Sleeping At Night?

Should You Drink Water Before Sleeping At Night?

The glass of water on your nightstand is one of sleep’s most common dilemmas. On one hand, your body needs hydration to perform vital repair work while you drift off; on the other, a full bladder is a guaranteed ticket to a midnight bathroom trip. As we navigate 2026, sleep science has become clearer on this “fluid” situation: timing is everything.

The Benefits: Why Your Body Craves Water At Night

Staying hydrated isn’t just about quenching thirst; it’s about maintaining the body’s internal machinery. While you sleep, your body continues to lose water through breathing and perspiration.

Temperature Regulation: Drinking water helps your body achieve the drop in core temperature necessary to induce sleepiness.

Detoxification: Hydration supports the kidneys in filtering waste and allows for smoother blood circulation, ensuring organs are well-oxygenated during their recovery phase.

Mood and REM Sleep: A study published in PMC (2025) found that small amounts of water intake before bed can actually decrease depressive moods in the morning. Interestingly, the research noted that water intake modified REM sleep latency, potentially leading to a more stable emotional state upon waking.

The primary argument against bedtime drinking is nocturia, the medical term for waking up one or more times a night to urinate.

The Drawback: The Nocturia Trap

The primary argument against bedtime drinking is nocturia, the medical term for waking up one or more times a night to urinate.

“The more you drink, the more you will tend to urinate,” explains Dr. Tsambarlis of Northwestern Medicine. “Drinking excessive amounts of fluid late into the evening can lead to multiple nighttime awakenings to void.” This is more than a mere inconvenience; fragmented sleep prevents you from reaching deep, restorative sleep stages, leading to daytime fatigue and irritability.

What The Research Says

Recent data from ResearchGate (2026) highlights a “dose-response” relationship between evening fluids and sleep quality:

  • High Hydration (>500 ml): Within two hours of bed, this was independently associated with a significant reduction in sleep efficiency and next-day alertness.
  • The 100% Rule: In one study, 100% of participants who drank over 500 ml before bed experienced nocturia, compared to only 44% in the low-hydration group.
  • The “Sweet Spot”: The moderate group (250–500 ml) showed no significant sleep impairment, suggesting a small glass is perfectly safe for most healthy adults.

The Expert Consensus: How to Time Your Hydration

Medical professionals generally advocate for a “tapering” approach. Instead of chugging water before bed to make up for a dry day, focus on “front-loading” your fluids.

“Ideally, you should have your last drink between 1 and 2 hours before going to bed,” suggests health experts at Hydratation. “This gives your body time to process the liquid and eliminate excess before you hit the pillow.”

Should you drink water before bed? Yes, but with moderation and strategy. If you are prone to dry mouth or leg cramps, a few sips are beneficial. However, if you are over 60, have a sensitive bladder, or struggle with insomnia, it is best to stop drinking 120 minutes before your head hits the pillow.

Timothée Chalamet reveals his favourite movie of 2025

Elle Fanning hosted a screening for Timothée Chalamet’s 2018 film, Beautiful Boy, in Los Angeles and the actor himself joined the discussion.

The screening, which took place on Thursday, started making social media rounds over the weekend and subsequently revealed many insights from the two actors’ conversation.

One of which was Chalamet sharing his favourite film of the past year, co-incidentally starring the discussion’s host and his former co-star.

The current Oscar frontrunner revealed Sentimental Value to be his favourite title of 2025, the European production starring Norwegian actress Renate Reinsve, Stellan Skarsgård, and Elle Fanning.

Chalamet said that his A Complete Unknown co-star was in “my favourite movie this year” as he named the film, further describing her work in it as “fantastic”.

The American-French actor also referenced The Worst Person in the World, the 2021 film directed by the filmmaker behind Sentimental Value, Joachim Trier. The Danish-Norwegian artist was described as “an amazing director” by Chalamet.

The Marty Supreme actor’s appearance at the Beautiful Boy screening came on the heels of his recent film discussion with Christopher Nolan, where the duo talked about their only collaboration, Interstellar.

Timothée Chalamet had a minor role in the 2014 release, which proved to be one of his early breakout performances.

He has also been on a recent run promoting a career retrospective, appearing for multiple screenings of his past films, like The King, the two installments of Dune, with more planned in the coming days.

AI For Personal Finance: Is Using ChatGPT, Gemini Or Grok The Right Choice?

Last Updated:

Grok, ChatGPT and Gemini are popular for personal finance advice, but experts warn AI lacks nuance and should be used as an assistant, not a sole adviser.

Using AI more as an assistant than an adviser would be a more prudent.

Using AI more as an assistant than an adviser would be a more prudent.

Many people have turned towards popular generative AI applications such as Grok, ChatGPT and Gemini to take personal finance advice regarding wealth management and investment. With the growing dependency on these applications in the general aspect of life, the PF part hasn’t remained untouched, either.

What used to be the domain of experts in the personal finance segment and wealth management is being done by an AI chatbot in peanuts and at the fingertips. Thus, alluring people to use them while seeking PF advice.

In fact, the AI companies are also focusing on building their chatbots to be useful and friendly in relation to financial and investment advice, though there are doubts still pertaining to the relevance and truthfulness.

Is it the right choice to use these chatbots to take personal finance advice?

Amol Joshi, founder, PlanRupee Investment Services told Moneycontrol that managing personal finance isn’t a one-time or ‘fill it, shut it, forget it’ activity. He further said that it requires careful product selection, keeping in mind your investment horizon and risk profile. “AI cannot practically take care of all these aspects end-to-end, he added.

Experts say that one needs to manage their portfolio regularly, and if one, they say, can’t do it by themselves, then he needs to seek professional help.

Nehal Mota, co-Founder & CEO, Finnovate as quoted by Moneycontrol said relying on AI for personal finance can be a good starting point but it isn’t the solution in itself.

AI tools are good at breaking down complex ideas into simple explanations, doing quick calculations, and comparing financial products. This is especially useful in India, where overall financial literacy is estimated to be around 27 percent.

They help people quickly understand basics such as SIP returns, insurance coverage, or tax slabs. However, personal finance decisions are highly personal and depend on many factors — income stability, family responsibilities, risk appetite, tax status, and long-term goals.

Studies suggest that behavioural biases — like panic selling, staying inactive for too long, or chasing short-term gains — account for nearly 60–70 percent of poor financial outcomes. AI has limited ability to address these emotional biases. Also, since tax laws, regulations, and product structures keep changing, AI-generated responses may not always capture the latest compliance requirements or finer details, Mota said.

However, using AI more as an assistant than an adviser would be a more prudent, several experts said.
