Dior announced Jonathan Anderson as its new Creative Director. He will be overseeing women’s, men’s, and haute couture collections of the luxury fashion house.

Jonathan will present the Dior Men Summer 2026 collection in Paris next month.

French luxury fashion house Christian Dior saw a big change in its leadership last month. After serving as the artistic director of womenswear at Dior, Maria Grazia Chiuri officially stepped down after nine years. Following Maria’s departure, Jonathan Anderson has been named as the new creative director of Dior. He is set to take look into the women’s, men’s, and haute couture collections of the House.

The news was shared by Dior on their Instagram page. The brand shared a picture of Jonathan Anderson and wrote, “Dior is thrilled to welcome Jonathan Anderson as Creative Director of women’s, men’s, and haute couture collections of the House. Jonathan Anderson will present his first collection, Dior Men Summer 2026, in Paris on June 27, 2025.”

Take a look at the post shared by Dior here.

Talking about joining Dior, Jonathan said, “It is a great honour to join the House of Dior as Creative Director of both women’s and men’s collections. I have always been inspired by the rich history of this House, its depth, and empathy. I look forward to working alongside its legendary Ateliers to craft the next chapter of this incredible story. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Bernard Arnault and Delphine Arnault for their trust and loyalty over the years.”

On the work front, Jonathan is gearing up to present his debut collection for Dior Men Summer 2026 on June 27 at the upcoming Paris Fashion Week. He steps into the role following Maria’s impactful nine-year tenure at Dior, during which she championed feminism, celebrated female artists, and highlighted artisanal craftsmanship at the heart of the brand. Chiuri made her graceful departure after unveiling her Cruise 2026 show in Rome, an ambitious blend of haute couture and ready-to-wear that served as a fitting finale to her time at the maison.

For those who closely follow the industry, Anderson’s appointment came as no surprise. His name had been circulating as a likely successor for some time. His recent, low-profile exit from Loewe, where he spent over a decade transforming the label into a fashion tour de force, only intensified the rumours.
