Karan Aujla Enjoys Samosas, Cappuccino Chai And Rasgullas In Kolkata Ahead Of Concert

Karan Aujla is currently busy with his P-Pop Culture India Tour, which began on February 28. The singer is now in Kolkata, where he is set to perform on April 3. But before turning Aquatica Ground into a full-blown concert venue, the star decided to soak in the city the real way – by trying out its iconic food. On Instagram, the singer shared glimpses of his Kolkata diaries, and it’s safe to say this was less of a “celebrity visit” and more of a full-blown street food adventure.

Karan’s first stop was the iconic Arun Tea Stall, located in Mullick Bazar – a go-to spot locals swear by. The singer was seen enjoying hot, crispy samosas right off the bonnet of his car. Then came the highlight: the stall’s famous cappuccino chai, which is an experience in itself. The tea is poured into small earthen cups and topped with a sprinkle of saffron. The thick, foamy layer on top made it look even richer and more inviting.

Between bites and sips, fans gathered around the singer, leading to a mini meet-and-greet right on the street. Karan Aujla happily posed for selfies and signed autographs. But he wasn’t done with his food journey yet. Next on Karan Aujla’s food trail was the legendary Balaram Mullick & Radharaman Mullick, a sweet shop chain known for its mouth-watering offerings. Here, the singer indulged in the classic rasgulla, one of Bengal’s most loved sweets. He captioned the post, “Ami to bindaas. Kolkata, y’all ready for April 3rd?”

Fans were quick to react to Karan Aujla’s post, filling the comments section with excitement, surprise and playful food suggestions. Many were amused by how close the singer was to their homes, while others jokingly wished they had crossed paths with him during his street food outing.

One fan commented, “The one day I don’t step out of the house, Aujla goes all around my city”.  Another simply wrote, “Food looks fire”, clearly impressed by the spread. Sharing a humorous wish, another fan said, “Yaaar! Aise galti se pani puri khaate hue hum se bhi takra jao” (Please, at least accidentally bump into me while I’m eating pani puri). A Kolkata local expressed surprise, writing, “My area. A min from my home & I had no idea” (This is my area, just a minute away from my home, and I had no idea). Adding a food suggestion, another comment read, “No kachori? Koi Lalli Changani ke paas le jaata usko yaar!” (No kachori? Someone should have taken him to Lalli Changani!).

After Kolkata, Karan Aujla’s tour will head to Jaipur and Lucknow before wrapping up the India leg in Ludhiana on April 14. For now, we’re simply impressed by his foodie side. Aren’t you?
