Adela wrote her song, Nicole Kidman, on the record, PRIMA, as a tribute to the legendary actress and she just shared the backstory to the song.
The 22-year-old rising pop icon revealed that she acquired Kidman’s approval prior to the release because she did not want to use her name without her knowledge, and her response has been nothing but positive.
The MachineGirl hitmaker noted, “I didn’t want to use her name without her approval. So we asked her and her team, and I knew from that that she’s heard the song because she approved it. She’s been so supportive, sharing it to her stories, the music video even. She’s used my song in her TikToks. The fact she knows me and wants to support me is so insane.”
Kidman has also shown appreciation for the song and Adela in her own interviews, sharing her plans to attend when the singer performs in Nashville where she resides.
Hearing about the wholesome exchange, fans flocked to the comments and wrote, “queens supporting queens.”
Another added, “its a smash.”
While a third chimed in, “nicole is a true girls’ girl.”
