Palace rejects claims King Charles was ‘elated’ after Princess Diana’s death

Buckingham Palace has strongly rejected claims King Charles III “sounded giddily elated” after the death of Princess Diana, following an explosive claim made in a book by her brother, Charles Spencer.

Spencer’s new book, “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister,” set to publish Tuesday, recounts how he was at home in South Africa when he heard the news his sister had died in a Paris car crash in 1997, a year after her divorce from Charles.
