There’s been a lot of change on the horizon for the Sussexes, and the biggest instigator in all this has been the move back to the UK.
The biggest has been thought Prince Harry’s charity focused date book that just appeared to have paved his intentions out.
Meghan Markle’s side on the other hand has been riddled with rumours however, the chair of Reputation Management Consultants, Eric Schiffer has his own thoughts about both their prospects independently.
He spoke to Newsweek about all this and in that process pointed out the existing pressure that the Sussexes carried, as well as the ones that doubled their load, when coming back.
He started off by saying, “this was cemented with their retreat back to Britain. They became in part the enemy of the people through self-inflicted wounds.”
He also shared some thoughts of his own and admitted, “there was devastating incompetence in navigating their own march to stardom in the U.S., and the death rattle really began with Harry’s book.”
He didn’t end there either and instead pointed out, “that was the inflection point. The consistent whineyness and this lack of accountability for their own actions. Where they were doing a great job is when they were advocates for causes that young people care about. But it kept veering back to their victimization and their avarice to cash in big, to the point where it was clear what their real goals were.”
A bit later he added, “now they’ve returned to Britain and shame, as outcasts and pariahs to the citizens of Great Britain.”
As for Meghan’s hopes he got even more candid when highlighting her chances at success.
“She may try to go back to acting, but the chance of stardom in the United States is dead,” Mr Schiffer said. “There may be a B-list acting career, but there’s going to be tremendous friction, and largely because most people don’t care.”
In his view, there is only one sure fire way forward and that would be in following their ‘strength’ which “was in giving back,” and “I think they were the happiest when they did that.”
Before concluding he also said, “maybe they’ll find their way back to that because that’s where they can really do good and find deeper meaning.”
