Andrew Garfield has shared the life-changing advice he received from the late star Heath Ledger.
The 43-year-old actor recently sat down with popular American host Zainab Jiwa for an interview and discussed his journey, grief, and how he copes with overthinking.
During the interview, the Spider-Man actor also recalled the precious advice he received from Heath regarding overthinking.
“Heath Ledger said something great to me when we were working together before he passed away.” he told the host.
The late Australian actor told Andrew, “Let’s have fun, let’s care less because we care so much.”
After listening to Heath’s words, the Academy nominated actor thought, “It was counterintuitive. It’s like you want to get it right, you want to do it well, and you want to like to be a good teammate.”
For those unaware, Heath was found unconcious in his apartment in New York City in January 2008. He was 28.
Elsewhere in the interview, Andrew insisted, “Artists have more access to creativity when they are relaxed, not narrow. So there’s something I think about that I guess to just allow yourself to play a little bit.”
On the professional front, Andrew is currently busy promoting his new movie, The Uprising. The historical epic was released in cinemas on September 11.
