Jessie J to undergo another cancer surgery

Jessie J is facing another health challenge but says she’s ready to handle it while balancing life as a mom and preparing to release new music.
The Price Tag hitmaker revealed in an Instagram update on Aug. 8 that she will need another surgery this year, just weeks after undergoing breast cancer surgery.
Still, her message was one of determination, writing, “Another surgery needed this year. I can do it. Raising a toddler. I can do it. Releasing new music. I can do it.”
Alongside the post, the 37-year-old singer shared a striking, golden-lit video in which she stares into the camera with quiet strength before taking a deep, steadying breath.
In her caption, Jessie wrote, “I can rest, parent AND release new music. I didn’t leave a major label after 18 years to be scared to rewrite the rules to fit around my life/health. I just have to make it realistic on what I can deliver in all roles in my life.”
The clip also flashed the date “29th August,” hinting at the release of her upcoming album.
Jessie shared that she is currently “seven weeks post breast cancer surgery” after undergoing a mastectomy in June for what she described as “early breast cancer.”
Recovery hasn’t been without setbacks, just last week, she was hospitalized for a suspected blood clot after experiencing chest pain. Still, her focus remains on moving forward. “I’m still in the thick of recovery and my body is still finding its way.
But I LOVE music and I LOVE my life and I want to LIVE in the moment,” she wrote.
The Bang Bang singer also opened up about embracing life’s unpredictability.
“That’s life, things change and either we panic and get mad that it isn’t what it was going to be, or we ADAPT,” she explained.
Jessie, who shares her two-year-old son Sky Safir with boyfriend Chanan Safir Colman, added that she’s “just flowing with life. Learning about who I am in motherhood and when my health goes left unexpectedly.”
She ended her message with a reminder to herself and her fans, “Life is layered and has highs and lows and we just have to keep living through all of it, the best we can. So here I am. LIVING.”
