Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, on Friday announced the closure of his Althorp estate to the public.
Taking to Instagram Stories, he shared some pictures of the estate with “Althorp-closes to the public on 1 September” written on them.
His sister, Princess Diana is buried on a small, tree-covered island in the middle of an ornamental lake called the Oval Lake at Althorp Estate, her family’s historic home in Northamptonshire, England.
The announcement coincided with reports that Charles Spencer’s nephew, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are returning to the UK this month with their children.
According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will go to school in the UK.
The US-based royal last month visited the UK and reportedly stayed at Althorp.
Meanwhile, Charles Spencer is promoting his upcoming book on his late sister, Princess Diana, the mother Prince William and Prince Harry.
Spencer promises to divulge the truth about Diana ahead of the 30th anniversary of her death.
Diana, the first wife of King Charles, was killed aged 36 in August 1997 when the car carrying her and her lover Dodi al-Fayed crashed in the Pont de L’Alma tunnel in Paris as it sped away from chasing paparazzi photographers on motorbikes.
