Jennifer Garner may have mastered the art of juggling Hollywood, motherhood and co-parenting — but her love life could be asking for a little more attention.
The 13 Going on 30 star, 54, has been dating businessman John Miller since 2018, but sources claim their famously private relationship may finally be hitting a crossroads.
“The non-traditional arrangement between Jen and John seemed to work perfectly for a while,” a source told Radar Online.
“Neither of them felt pressure to move in together or make a big commitment. But they’ve reached a point where they both want more, and they’re struggling to figure out how to get there.”
One complication? Garner’s enduring friendship with ex-husband Ben Affleck.
The former couple share three children — Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 14 — meaning Affleck remains firmly in Garner’s orbit.
Garner has previously described the depth of their connection, saying, “I didn’t marry the big fat movie star; I married him… He’s the love of my life.”
She later added, “We still have to help each other get through this; he’s still the only person who really knows the truth about things. And I’m still the only person who knows some of his truths.”
That closeness reportedly hasn’t been easy for Miller.
“John doesn’t feel threatened in terms of Jen ever getting back with Ben, but at the same time, it’s hard not to feel jealous when it’s clear they have a strong connection and friendship,” the source said.
Now, after seven years together, friends reportedly fear Miller may eventually want a clearer future.
“There’s definitely a part of him that wants more,” the source said.
For Garner, however, doing things her own way appears to remain the priority. As she recently put it about her left ring finger: “I just feel like I’m in my 50s, I own my own fingers.”
