Anthropic’s annualized revenue run rate (ARR) reached $65 billion at the end of July, underscoring the rapid growth of the Claude creator ahead of a potential public listing later this year.
As reported by Bloomberg, the latest revenue figure, shared with investors on Monday, marks a sharp increase from $47 billion in May and roughly $9 billion at the end of 2025.
ARR is a metric that estimates annual revenue by extrapolating a company’s current sales pace.
The AI firm’s preliminary revenue for its most recently completed second quarter exceeded $11.5 billion, representing a significant increase from the same period a year earlier.
As reported, the financial update comes as Anthropic prepares for a potential initial public offering (IPO).
The AI startup confidentially filed for an IPO earlier this year, joining rival OpenAI in considering a public-market debut amid strong investor interest in artificial intelligence companies.
As informed, Anthropic is reportedly projecting 2028 revenue of roughly $190 billion to $200 billion, with those forecasts expected to play an important role in determining its IPO valuation.
The company has emerged as a major AI player as its Claude coding agent gains traction among developers and helps drive enterprise demand.
Anthropic was valued at $965 billion in May after raising $65 billion in its Series H funding round, more than double its $380 billion valuation in February.
