Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received a clear message from King Charles as the Sussexes speed up their reconciliation efforts.
The monarch wanted to move things forward at his pace and not on the wishes and desires of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The source told Woman’s Day, “[Charles] wants this relationship, but he wants to rebuild it at a pace that’s comfortable for him;
“The problem is, it’s becoming pretty obvious that the Sussexes are in much more of a hurry to keep building on things. Harry wants to see his dad as often as physically possible.”
From royal Christmas to Invictus Games 2027, Harry has been feeling hopeful to share special moments with his family.
Not only the Duke, but his wife is also pushing this narrative, as it is getting difficult day by day for them to survive in Hollywood without royal recognition.
“They want to make up for lost time, and Charles appreciates that, but as far as he’s concerned, it needs to be baby steps,” an insider said.
King Charles is currently keeping his relationship with Harry and Meghan on “casual footing,” especially after Prince William’s strong reaction over their return.
The source said, “He’s glad to be rebuilding a relationship with Harry, but there’s no doubt it’s an enormous undertaking.
“The backlash he’s having to contend with is very challenging, and Harry isn’t necessarily helping matters by being really quite overzealous at times.”
