Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker lifted the lid on their two-year-old son Rocky Thirteen.
The couple opened up about facing complications when they were pregnant with Thirteen in the Hulu documentary Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear.
E! News shared the clip in which Barker can be heard sharing that he was on his tour in Europe when Kardashian called her, as he recalled, “She says, ‘Trav, I went to my doctor and the baby’s lungs are filling with fluid.’”
Notably, in order to save their kid’s life, doctors had to drain the “fluid from the infant’s lungs” by “placing a needle through” Kardashian’s stomach, and it terrified the 47-year-old American media personality and socialite to the core.
She said, “It was terrifying going in for the surgery. [Barker] canceled four shows, and he just came and laid with me in the hospital and made sure that everything was okay.”
It happened after the 50-year-old American musician and songwriter and Kardashian had a miscarriage in 2021, as he said, “Once you’ve experienced a miscarriage, you’re just waiting for something awful to happen.” They were expecting a baby but during their three-month check-up they found out that the baby no longer had a heartbeat.
“When we lost the baby, we were devastated. We just laid in bed and cried for days,” the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star shared.
It is pertinent to mention that Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, who started their romantic relationship after being neighbours for a long time and tied the knot in 2022, welcomed their only biological child, Rocky Thirteen, in November 2023.
