Cristian Romero wants to join Arsenal but Tottenham Hotspur have no intention of letting the centre-back join their bitter rivals, according to The Sun. The 28-year-old is set to leave Spurs this summer amid interest from Atlético Madrid and Inter Milan, but now The Sun reports that Arsenal are interested in signing him. The Premier League champions will be without William Saliba for an “extended period” with a back injury suffered during the World Cup. However, a move to the Gunners would be totally unpalatable for their North London neighbours. Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo reports that the Argentina international is waiting for Barcelona, especially with sources telling ESPN that Ronald Araújo is close to joining Liverpool from Barça on a season-long loan.

– Barcelona are set to send a second offer for Rodri, who has told Manchester City that he only wants to join the Blaugrana, Fabrizio Romano reports. Barcelona are working on a fee for the midfielder and have total confidence that they can complete a deal, seeing it as a matter of time until they do so. There had been a time when it looked as though the 30-year-old would be joining Real Madrid, but Los Blancos appear to have lost ground in the race to sign the Spain captain.

– Real Madrid could move for Arsenal midfielder Martín Zubimendi after missing out on Manchester City’s Rodri, according to Mundo Deportivo. The 27-year-old struggled towards the back end of last season, and his future is now considered uncertain following the arrival of Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle United. They also showed interest in signing him from Real Sociedad last summer, but there will be difficulty in completing a deal as Arsenal are demanding €90m and Chelsea are providing competition after Xabi Alonso had driven Los Blancos’ previous interest.

– Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Fulham have all held conversations about Real Madrid striker Endrick, according to TEAMtalk. The 20-year-old is weighing up his future having grown frustrated by a lack of first-team prospects at the Bernabéu, especially after the signings of Carlos Espí and Yan Diomande. England is the Brazil international’s preferred destination if he leaves Spain and his camp is discussing what a departure could look like with Real Madrid.

– Manchester United and Liverpool are monitoring the situation of AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara, Footmercato reports. The Ligue 1 club is demanding €50 million for the 22-year-old, which is the same amount Paris Saint-Germain paid to sign Maghnes Akliouche. Crystal Palace have already submitted a concrete offer and Nottingham Forest are poised to make one of their own. Monaco are refusing to drop their valuation but are also preparing to replace the Senegal international, with Cruz Azul‘s Érik Lira being their top option.
