Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have reportedly stopped marking the anniversary of their lavish 2022 wedding, choosing instead to treat the date of their private 2025 vow renewal as their official anniversary going forward.
According to reports, the couple now associate their original wedding day with painful memories tied to ongoing tension with Brooklyn’s family, and marked the anniversary of their vow renewal, August 5, instead this week.
Brooklyn, 27, and Nicola, 31, married during a three-day celebration at the Peltz family’s Palm Beach estate in April 2022, with roughly 500 guests in attendance, including David and Victoria Beckham.
Their private vow renewal took place last August, attended only by Nicola’s family and close friends, with the Beckhams notably absent.
Earlier this year, Brooklyn issued a public statement detailing his account of tension during the original wedding, including allegations that his mother disrupted the couple’s planned first dance and behaved inappropriately during the reception.
The Beckham family has not publicly responded in detail to those claims.
At the time, Brooklyn said the vow renewal was meant to “create new memories that bring us joy and happiness.”
The rift has continued to play out publicly throughout the year.
Last week, Brooklyn and Nicola vacationed aboard Elton John’s yacht near Nice, while David and Victoria stayed aboard their own yacht roughly 75 miles away near St. Tropez, the two parties again not reuniting despite the proximity.
