King Charles has marked Peru’s National Day with a warm personal message celebrating the close relationship between the two countries and expressing hope for even stronger ties in the years ahead.
The message, shared by the British Embassy in Peru on Instagram to coincide with the country’s Patriotic Holidays, was addressed to the President and people.
On behalf of himself and Queen Camilla, the King extended his congratulations and best wishes to all Peruvians on their national celebration.
In his statement, Charles praised on the enduring friendship between the United Kingdom and Peru, praising the strength of the partnership that has developed between the two nations over the years.
He also expressed his commitment to deepening cooperation in the future.
The monarch also wrote about one cause particularly close to his heart – protecting the environment.
He spoke of the importance of countries working together to tackle global challenges, especially climate change and the preservation of the natural world, themes that have long defined his public life.
