Jack Antonoff had reportedly pleaded with Margaret Qualley for another chance before their split.
“Jack fought hard for this relationship,” one insider told Naughty But Nice on Monday. “He begged Margaret to give him another chance because he genuinely believed they could save the marriage.”
“He wasn’t ready to let her go,” a tipster added.
As per the source, the couple had been quietly struggling for months.
“This wasn’t one explosive argument,” the insider revealed. “Communication kept breaking down, and Margaret reached a point where she needed space. By then, she felt emotionally exhausted.”
Meanwhile, another source told the outlet that Jack “was devastated when he realized Margaret was pulling away. He kept asking her not to give up on them because he truly believed they could work through anything.”
As per the former couple’s pals, Jack’s perfectionist streak often created friction.
“Jack likes things done his way,” the insider explained. “Margaret increasingly felt her voice wasn’t being heard, and eventually she decided she couldn’t keep living like that.”
Despite this, friends are not ruling out the possibility of reconciliation.
“There’s still real love between them,” insisted the confidant. “No one is saying this marriage can’t be saved—but right now, they both need time apart to figure out what comes next.”
