When Anne Hathaway worked alongside Tom Holland in the forthcoming epic The Odyssey, she was in awe.
As the film is near its release, the actress has nothing but love for him, so much so that she wishes her two kids – a third is on the way – would grow up just like him.
Such a heart-melting comment comes from Hathaway’s interview with eTalk.
There, she said, “First of all, I have to say, as a mom in real life, I very much hope all of my children grow up to be as wonderful as my onscreen child. Tom is like a dream son.”
In The Odyssey, the actress portrays Penelope, Odysseus’s wife (Matt Damon) and the mother of Holland, who plays Telemachus.
But Hathaway’s admiration was not limited to the Marvel star.
Instead, she expanded the praise to the entire cast, describing them as a close-knit family, which, in turn, she said, will become a key to the film’s success.
“We have this amazing script and brilliant actors, but also I just really love Tom, and I really love Matt, and I love Chris,” she shared.
“So I just feel like, even though this was this big, epic movie, it was really grounded in intimate appreciation of each other, respect for each other,” the Devil Wears Prada star continued.
In Christopher Nolan’s films, stakes have usually been high; thus, Hathaway shared that each cast member pushed themselves to deliver their best performances.
“I don’t think any of us wanted to let Chris down, so I think we all harnessed our highest strength and our highest passion, and we just tried to be an actor who was worthy of being in a Chris Nolan movie.”
Hathaway, who is expecting, will swoon the audience with her portrayal of the Queen of Ithaca in The Odyssey, releasing on July 17.
