Mystic Falls fans, consider this your official reason to celebrate.
Nearly a decade after The Vampire Diaries wrapped its unforgettable run, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley are teaming up again – this time for a twist-filled Hulu thriller that swaps vampires for murder and neighbourhood secrets.
The fan-favourite duo will star in and executive produce You Deserve to Know, an adaptation of Aggie Blum Thompson’s 2025 novel.
The mystery follows three suburban couples whose seemingly perfect lives begin to unravel after one husband is murdered.
Dobrev will play Gwen, while Wesley takes on the role of Scott – two neighbours who find themselves on opposite sides of the investigation.
Dobrev shared the exciting update on Instagram, writing, “I’ve been waiting to share this one.”
She added, “@paulwesley and I are reuniting to executive produce and star in You Deserve to Know.
Getting to help shape this adaptation from both sides of the camera has been incredibly exciting. So grateful to our partners at @hulu, @unwell, @alexandracooper and @kapital_entertainment. Let’s do this!!!!!”
The project also marks another major producing credit for Dobrev, who says she’s embracing life behind the camera.
“It’s a completely different muscle,” she recently shared. “It’s incredibly fulfilling. I love producing.”
She explained that producing offers something acting often can’t.
“Just because acting is a very passive role [at times], having to wait for auditions or scripts to be sent… Producing, you’re picking up the phone, you’re calling.”
