As a romance writer, I love many tropes of the genre. Especially in summer time, all I want is to be on a warm sandy beach with a paperback in my lap, unable to stop turning the pages until I know exactly how these enemies become lovers or opposites attract. Vampires, soccer players, florists, Regency-era nobles: I’ll take them all. And whatever the trope, the setting or the era, I like my romances Sapphic.
