Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s firstborn child Rocky was a rainbow baby.
In Barker’s new Hulu documentary, Travis Barker: Love Is Louder Than Fear, which premiered on June 13, the couple revealed they suffered a miscarriage while expecting their first child together — before Rocky was born in 2023.
According to the reality TV star, she became pregnant just six months into her romance with the Blink-182 drummer. The couple, who have been together since 2021, were expecting a baby girl and had even chosen the name Tulip before devastating news arrived at a routine doctor’s appointment.
“When we lost the baby, we were devastated,” Kardashian said in the documentary, per US Weekly. “We cried for days.”
The loss marked the beginning of a challenging fertility journey. Kardashian, 47, revealed that she underwent five IVF attempts in eight months as the couple continued trying to conceive. It was when they decided to step back from the process that their prayers were finally answered.
Kardashian and Barker welcomed son Rocky in November 2023, after conceiving naturally following their break from IVF treatments.
Rocky’s pregnancy brought its own challenges, including an emergency fetal surgery due to a “super rare” condition.
The Poosh founder is also mom to three children with her ex, Scott Disick, while Barker shares three kids with ex Shanna Moakler.
