Prince Louis’ voice was heard in a rare clip released to celebrate his seventh birthday on Wednesday, 23 April.
Behind the scenes footage of the young royal’s birthday photoshoot was posted on Kensington Palace’s social media following the release of a portrait.
Louis posed for the camera in the sunshine and playfully ran up close to the lens, pointing as he said “I can jump down from here” and leaping off a log.
The Palace said the video was shot by its in-house social media team.
Louis’ portrait, showing him smiling and with a gap for his two front teeth, was taken earlier this month by Josh Shinner in Norfolk.
