‘In the City,’ and 7 More Things to Watch on TV This Week

What started out as a fun, light season of “Summer House” completely switched vibes after two of the cast members — Amanda Batula and West Wilson — announced that they were dating. This was a surprise, as Batula just separated from her husband, Kyle Cooke, and Wilson had previously dated her close friend Ciara Miller, all of whom are on the show together. Now fans are sifting through past episodes to find hints about how this relationship came about. The season, which was filmed last summer, is coming to an end this week; audio of an explosive postseason three-part reunion was leaked, hinting how dramatic the finale would be. At the NBC Upfronts last week, the network announced that the show would be back for Season 11, but has yet to confirm which housemates have been invited to return. Tuesday at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

Bravo will then premiere the new series “In the City,” which will continue to follow Cooke, Batula and their fellow “Summer House” original cast member Lindsay Hubbard as they navigate different phases of adulthood — marriage, divorce and parenthood — while living in New York City. Joining the cast are the “Summer House” alums Danielle Olivera and Andrea Denver, while Katie Arundel, Eoin Heavey and others are making their reality TV debuts. Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Bravo.

What happens when some of India’s most wealthy move to Dubai and navigate the world of internet fame, new money versus old money and interpersonal dynamics? We can find out on “Desi Bling,” a new reality series from the creators of “Dubai Bling.” Begins streaming Wednesday on Netflix.

Kylie Minogue first entered public consciousness in 1986 when she joined the cast of the Australian soap opera “Neighbours.” After an impromptu performance with her cast members, she was signed to Mushroom Records and released her first album, “Kylie,” in 1988, eventually building a catalog of songs like “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” and “Padam Padam” that have been vital parts of summer soundtracks for decades. Now in the documentary “Kylie,” the singer is reflecting on her career and her personal life with the help of archived footage and interviews with family members and collaborators. Begins streaming Wednesday on Netflix.

The creators of “Big Mouth” are back with a new cartoon series, “Mating Season.” Instead of focusing on the ickiness of hormones and dating while being a teenager, this show follows adults — of the animal variety. Nick Kroll, June Diane Raphael, Zach Woods and Sabrina Jalees portray a raccoon, a deer, a bear and a fox, respectively, as they manage sex, dating and the biological need to continue the growth of a species. All episodes will air at once. Begins streaming Friday on Netflix.

In 2023, the siblings Brynlee and Ty Larson barricaded themselves in their mother’s house for 54 days in protest of a court order that required them to return to their father’s custody, even though they accused him of sexual abuse — and they livestreamed the entire ordeal on TikTok. The two-part documentary series “The Nightmare Upstairs: What Happened to Ty and Bryn?” uses police interviews, video archives and court records to tell the story of the incident and what led up to it. Begins streaming Tuesday on Hulu.

Even though the supernatural world of “Stranger Things” is in the rearview mirror, the show’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, are executive producing a spooky new sci-fi series, “The Boroughs.” It takes place in a retirement community, but the status quo is shaken up when a newcomer has a strange encounter, and the community bands together to fight against a mystical threat. Begins streaming Thursday on Netflix.

The vignette-style anthology show “Bad Thoughts” is back for a second season. The six episodes of Tom Segura’s dark comedy continue to find the actor and others in disturbing, provocative and ultimately comedic situations. Begins streaming Sunday on Netflix.
