Meghan Markle has said no to warnings and gone ahead with her unchanged plans, refusing to stop as she knows well what is more important for her.
The Duchess of Sussex turned a deaf ear to the crisis surrounding her father’s arrest as she pushed ahead with her plans anyway, taking a bold and defiant move with a new announcement.
Meghan did not let her spirits down as she promoted a festive gift just hours after news broke that Thomas Markle had been arrested in Florida on a federal charge of possession of child sexual abuse material.
Thomas Markle Snr has previously rejected the allegations levelled against him, describing them as “sick lies”.

Meghan’s bold move suggested as though nothing had happened. The decision was reportedly entirely Meghan’s, even though her team is said to have urged her to delay the promotion, warning that launching a holiday campaign amid such a serious family crisis risked looking insensitive.
But Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s mother insisted the approaching holiday shopping season was too important to miss.
Sources close to the Duchess say she believes business must go on, and that pausing her work would only fuel more speculation.
Meghan’s move suggests she has nothing to do with the latest development as she has already cleared her position by revealing the truth she knew.
She has long been estranged from her father, and insiders say she is determined not to let his actions define her own future.
For now, Meghan is showing no signs of slowing down. While the world watches her father’s case unfold, she is choosing work over silence, business over backlash and defiance over delay.
And if her latest move is anything to go by, Meghan Markle is not stopping for anyone, not even for a warning.
However, the Duchess always wants a comprehensive inquiry she believes that a full and thorough investigation will now help deliver justice for the victims.
According to the US Department of Justice, Meghan’s estranged dad, 82, was placed on house arrest after his initial court appearance. He has not yet entered a plea.
In October, the Duchess of Sussex said: “I am deeply distressed at the news, and my thoughts are with any children who may have been harmed.”
Thomas Markle had previously denied the allegations when they first surfaced.
