Queen Camilla seemed to have offered King Charles a much-needed reprieve during a critical hour of his important mission with a quiet gesture.
The monarch, who is continuing his treatment for undisclosed cancer, had been under immense pressure in the duration of the Caribbean tour.
Following the 70-year reign of his late mother, Elizabeth II, Charles arguably has a short time to carve his own legacy. However, much of his new reign has been marred by controversies and family feuds.

Hence, the Caribbean tour was critical to determine what the future held for the monarchy and Charles was glad to have his wife by his side.
“Charles was very pleased that Camilla was able to join him,” an insider told Woman’s Day. “They did their best to share a joke here and there, enjoy the gracious company of their hosts and make the most of things.”
Camilla had flown in to Antigua to join in the King for the final leg. The royal couple were reportedly “fairly stung” by recent drop in UK popularity rating results.
Hence, facing a crowd with important leaders and to talk about sensitive subjects such as the slave trade carried out by royal ancestors had required strength for Charles.
He was even able to poke fun at himself given the umbrella incident. The sources insist that the King takes his role as Sovereign “as a life calling, quite literally, and models himself on his late mother in that regard”.
Meanwhile, Camilla is present to support him during this tough time.
