Michael Douglas has finally opened up about a romance with Kathleen Turner that remained a secret for four years.
The actor revealed that their feelings for each other grew while they were working on the 1984 film Romancing the Stone in Mexico.
At the time, Douglas was separated from his wife, Diandra Luker. He has now admitted that he and Turner became more than just co-stars but tried hard to keep their relationship away from the public eye.

In his memoir, One Helluva Ride, Douglas shared how they used to spend time together after filming. He, however, also recalled secretly visiting Turner’s hotel room at night, when everyone else go to sleep.
Their romance came to an end after Diandra visited Mexico with their son Cameron. She became suspicious about the two and Douglas said they decided to end things after her visit.
The Hollywood icon, moreover, later returned to his wife but admitted that their marriage was never the same again.

Now, Douglas is using his experience to warn young actors about dating their co-stars. He believes things can become very uncomfortable when a relationship ends but both actors still have to work together.
Turner also reacted to the revelation, saying, “I love Michael, and I look forward to enjoying the book.”
