Warriors guard Draymond Green is facing his first ejection in the NBA 2026-27 season after he was knocked down by Maluach on Monday night.
It is Green’s 31st time of his career after receiving two technical fouls in the same sequence against the Phoenix Suns on Monday, November 2, 2026.
With 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter, while defending Suns’ centre Khaman Maluach, Green knocked down under the basket.
Green jumped to his feet right away, grabbed Maluach for a personal foul and then threw him to the floor.
He was assessed for what the officials called a “throwdown”, leading to the first technical.
Phoenix forward Dillon Brooks then jumped into the chaotic scuffle, dashing from the top of the key to faceoff against Green for the hard foul.
The longtime rivals grabbed each other’s jerseys and locked into a brief standoff, and had to be separated.
After review, officials called a double technical on Green and Brooks, which led to an automatic ejection for the former.
The technical foul marked the 23rd of Green’s 15-year NBA regular-season run. He has also been ejected eight times in the playoffs.
Green has already racked up three technicals in six appearances this season.
