An insider told Radar Online that the 64-year-old American actor and film producer is putting efforts into making England his personal and professional playground.
The source told the outlet that he is deliberately extending his trip to Britain and consciously organizing star-studded premieres of his movies, which have now become talk of the town.
Per the insider, the Mission Impossible star’s close relationship with the Prince and Princess of Wales has given him an advantage in the historic city.
The source stated, “Nobody does spectacle like the British royals,” adding, “In London, Tom isn’t just another actor promoting another movie.”
“He’s treated like the American king of the city. Hollywood treats him like a movie star. London treats him like a visiting head of state,” they claimed.
It is pertinent to mention that Tom Cruise has old ties with the British royal family, as he and his former wife Nicole Kidman built a relationship with the late Princess Diana at the premiere of Far and Away in 1992.
