Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds reportedly face a sudden setback in their relationship with fellow celebrities after a legal war with Justin Baldoni.
For those unaware, Lively filed a lawsuit against her It Ends with Us co-star and director Baldoni, accusing him of s****** harassment, creating a hostile work environment, and starting a smear campaign with his production company Wayfarer Studios.
The Everwood actor denied all allegations and claimed the actress tried to seize creative control of the film, threatening to sabotage the film’s promotion by circulating the false narratives.
Baldoni also filed massive countersuits, including a $400 million defamation suit against Lively, Reynolds, their publicist Leslie Sloane, and The New York Times, which was later dismissed. The courtroom clashes ended in a settlement in May of this year, but unleashed a tsunami of ugly accusations and Hollywood finger-pointing.
An insider told Radar Online, “Two years ago, having Blake and Ryan at your party made you look important. Today, having them there might make people uncomfortable.”
It is pertinent to mention that it is a glaring sign that Reynolds was “trying to protect his wife, who he believed was being targeted by a crisis PR team hired by Baldoni,” stated that source.
