An aphrodisiac chocolate brand has issued a recall after its bars have been linked to a possible deadly drop in blood pressure.
California-based Gear Isle recalled its Gold Lion Aphrodisiac Chocolate Sachet and ilum Sex Chocolate earlier this month. The two male enhancement products were sold online nationwide.
The products have been found to contain undeclared ingredients, sildenafil and tadalafil, according to a company announcement that the Food and Drug Administration published Thursday.
Sildenafil and tadalafil are active ingredients in the erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra and Cialis, respectively.

The announcement warned that the undeclared active ingredients “may pose a threat to consumers because the active ingredient may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs…and may cause a significant drop in blood pressure that may be life-threatening.”
Men who use nitrates to treat cardiac conditions are “most at risk” from the recalled products, the company said.
The company has not received any reports of adverse effects related to the recalled products as of March 19.
The Independent has reached out to Gear Isle for comment.
Gear Isle is sending letters to its customers about the recalls. Customers who have the recalled products are advised by the company to stop using them and return them for a refund.

Any customers who have experienced medical issues that may be related to the recall should contact their doctor, the company announcement advised.
Gear Isle is just the latest erotic sweets retailer to issue a recall for an undeclared drug ingredient.
Florida-based Pure Vitamins and Natural Supplements, LLC recalled its Boner Bears Honey on March 14 after a lab analysis by the FDAconfirmed it contained sildenafil and tadalafil.
The company also recalled its Red Bull Extreme and Blue Bull Extreme sexual enhancement honey products after undeclared sildenafil was found in them.
Last month, Texas-based Lockout Supplements recalled Boner Bears Chocolate Syrup over concerns of undeclared sildenafil in the product.
