Tim Meadows nominates actor he knows to be the funniest person

Tim Meadows finds Adam Sandler to be the funniest person he has ever known.

The actor, 65, shared the comment during an appearance on the Literally! With Rob Lowe podcast on 12 March, where he spoke with host Rob Lowe about his long career in comedy.

“I know a lot of very funny people, but Sandler, for me, is probably the funniest,” he said. Meadows explained that the two have remained close friends for decades and still share jokes they created years ago.

Meadows and Sandler were also castmates on Saturday Night Live between 1991 and 1995. He said they often repeat comedy “bits” they first came up with more than 30 years ago, while also creating new ones whenever they meet.

The actor also noted that Sandler genuinely enjoys making people laugh, even in everyday conversations. “He loves to laugh, and he loves to do bits,” Meadows pointed out.

Meadows also mentioned another possible factor in his fondness for Sandler, saying the pair is comfortable being themselves around each other.

Meadows also praised fellow former Saturday Night Live cast member David Spade for being extremely funny and happily spending long periods travelling with him.

“There are very few people from SNL I’d drive across the country with,” Meadows said. “Spade is probably in the top three or four.”

Meadows, who also appeared in the film Mean Girls, continues to work in television. His latest project, the workplace comedy DMV, premiered in October.
