Two recently released films —Thaai Kizhavi and The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond — are continuing their run in theaters, with both seeing moderate collections on the sixth day at the box office. While the Tamil film has maintained a slight overall lead in total earnings, the Hindi film managed a higher collection on Day 6.
Directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, Thaai Kizhavi stars Radhika Sarathkumar, Aruldoss, Ilavarasu and George Maryan in key roles. The film has performed steadily since its release and earned around Rs 19.35 crore in its first five days. On Day 6 (Wednesday), the film collected approximately Rs 0.78 crore, taking its six-day total to about Rs 20.13 crore in India net.

The film earned Rs 2.65 crore on Friday and saw strong growth over the weekend, earning Rs 5 crore on Saturday (an 88.68% jump) and Rs 6.15 crore on Sunday (23% growth). However, collections dropped during the weekdays, with Rs 2.85 crore on Monday (down 53.66%) and Rs 2.7 crore on Tuesday (a further 5.26% drop).
On Wednesday, Thaai Kizhavi recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of 19.12%, with 16.03% in morning shows and 22.21% in afternoon shows. Among regions, Pondicherry had the highest occupancy at 25.50%, followed by Trichy at 24%, while Chennai and Madurai both recorded 23.50%. Coimbatore saw 17%, Salem 17.50%, Vellore 21% and Dindigul 19%. Outside Tamil Nadu, Bengaluru reported 9% occupancy across 236 shows, while Mumbai recorded around 10%.
Meanwhile, Kamakhya Narayan Singh’s The Kerala Story 2, added approximately Rs 1.09 crore on Day 6, taking its total to around Rs 17.74 crore in India net. The film had a slow opening with Rs 0.75 crore on Friday but saw a major jump on Saturday with Rs 4.65 crore (a 520% rise). Sunday remained strong with Rs 4.75 crore before dropping to Rs 2.5 crore on Monday. Collections improved again on Tuesday with Rs 4 crore.
The film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 11.77% on Wednesday, with 7.32% in morning shows and 16.21% in afternoon shows. Chennai saw the highest occupancy at 21% with limited shows, followed by Ahmedabad at 19.50%. Mumbai recorded 10.50% across 671 shows, while Bengaluru had 11%, Pune and Hyderabad 9% each, Surat 15.50%, and NCR remained low at 3%.

Overall, Thaai Kizhavi currently leads in total box office collections, while The Kerala Story 2 showed a slightly stronger Day 6 performance. Both films will now look to regain momentum over the upcoming weekend.
