The Osbournes break silence with emotional Grammy tribute to Ozzy

Ozzy Osbourne’s family paid an emotional tribute to the late rock legend while announcing the 2026 Grammy nominations on Friday.

Sharon, Kelly and Jack Osbourne appeared together to reveal the nominees for Best Rock Album and Best Metal Performance, two categories that held a special place in Ozzy’s heart.

The Black Sabbath frontman passed away in July at 76 after suffering heart failure at his Buckinghamshire home just weeks after his final concert in Birmingham.

Sharon began by saying, “Hello, we are the Osbournes and music has always been the centre of our lives. Today we are so proud to be presenting Ozzy.”

Kelly added that it warmed their hearts to pay tribute to their dad, while Jack said, “Our dad won Grammys in both of these categories so they are particularly special to us.”

Sharon also recalled how happy Ozzy was when his last album Patient Number 9 was nominated and later won.

“He was truly honoured,” she said with a smile.

The nominations for Best Rock Album include Private Music, I Quit, From Zero and Never Enough.

For Best Metal Performance, the contenders are Night Terror, Lachryma, Emergence, Soft Spine and Birds.

For the unversed, Ozzy last won two Grammys in 2023 for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance.

Though he could not attend due to health issues, his team accepted the trophies and shared his trademark message: “I love you all and f*** off.”

The 68th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on February 1, 2026, in Los Angeles.
