Pakistan’s Hamza Khan wins Golden Open Squash Championship in Australia
KARACHI: Pakistan’s Hamza Khan defeated Hong Kong’s Ka Hei Ho in straight games to claim the Men’s Golden Open Squash Championship title in Kalgoorlie, Australia.
The second-seeded Khan secured a dominant 3-0 victory in Sunday’s final, capping off a strong run in the $6,000 PSA Challenger Tour event.
Khan had a near-flawless tournament, dropping only one game in the quarter-finals against Australia’s wildcard entry Oscar Curtis (11-8, 10-12, 11-4, 11-2). He then cruised past Hong Kong’s Ming Hong Tang in the semifinals (11-5, 11-7, 11-4) before overpowering Ho in the title clash.
Earlier in the tournament, Khan opened his campaign with a convincing 3-0 win over Hong Kong’s Lap Man Au (11-6, 11-7, 11-7).
The event, held at Ray Finlayson Sporting Club in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, marked another step in Khan’s rise as one of the squash’s emerging talents.

Similarly, in the first round, Khan beat Lap Man Au from Hong Kong with 3-0 score.
