Luton 0-0 Spurs (Jul 26, 2025) Game Analysis – ESPN

Tottenham Hotspur drew two friendlies against third-tier opposition on Saturday as head coach Thomas Frank continued to put the team through their paces following his arrival at the club from Brentford.

In an 11 a.m. BST (6 a.m. ET) kick-off, an experimental Spurs team drew 2-2 with Wycombe Wanderers in a behind-closed-doors friendly at the north London club’s training ground.

Pape Matar Sarr gave Spurs the lead after he followed in on Wilson Odobert‘s powerful drive from outside the penalty area which Wycombe goalkeeper Mikki van Sas could only parry into the path of the Senegal international.

Junior Quitirna’s 32nd-minute equaliser meant the scores were level at half-time, but the Wycombe man gave his team the lead 10 minutes after the break.

Sarr pounced in the 66th minute to net his, and Spurs’, second of the afternoon and ensure Thomas Frank avoided his first defeat since his arrival at the club this summer.

Later on Saturday, a Spurs side made up of alternative members of the first-team squad drew 0-0 with Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.

Spurs new-boy Mohamed Kudus lined up for Frank’s side at Kenilworth road but Dominic Solanke was absent from both matches.

Spurs’ next preseason fixture is an eye-catching clash with north London rivals Arsenal on Thursday as the club begins its tour of Asia.
