Hasan Nawaz Shines on ODI Debut, Credits Rizwan’s Advice for Memorable Win – SUCH TV

Pakistan cricket team player Hasan Nawaz said that this was his debut match in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and he wanted to make it memorable by becoming the player of the match.
Speaking to the media in Trinidad, he shared that Mohammad Rizwan told him to finish the match as it was his debut, and even when Rizwan was walking off after getting out, he reminded him to close the game.
Hasan Nawaz said he was confident that he could finish the innings just like he had done in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), and that confidence helped him succeed.
Due to rain, the ball was slippery, which caused him to take a bit more time.
He added that he and Hussain Talat had planned that if they reached the end together, they would easily finish the match, and their strategy was to build a partnership because both are big hitters.
Hasan Nawaz also mentioned that he has played on similar difficult pitches in domestic cricket and has learned a lot from players like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Salman Ali Agha.
He praised Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah for their excellent bowling but admitted that some missed fielding opportunities allowed the West Indies to capitalize.
It is worth noting that Pakistan won the first ODI against West Indies by 5 wickets.
