Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has recently made another major legal move after four-year prison sentence and conviction on prostitution related charges.
Earlier this month, the former hip-hop mogul was sentenced to 50-month prison and two months in prison following his conviction on federal prostitution-related charges.
Now, the legal team of Sean has filed a two-page notice of appeal, challenging both the conviction and the four-year prison sentence on October 20.
In the document obtained by Rolling Stone, it is said that Alexandra Shapiro signaled their plan to appeal in Manhattan Federal Court, but they didn’t lay out the legal rationale behind the notice.
The outlet also reported that Sean’s lawyers are expected to submit its full appeal brief within four to six weeks.
The document will include key details of the case, including a concise summary of the facts relevant to the issues being reviewed and from there, the case will go before a three-judge panel from the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
Meanwhile, Sean is still in prison at the Metropolitan Detention Center as of Monday afternoon, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
For those unversed, earlier on October 3, Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced the former rapper to 50 months in prison after his conviction on the two prostitution charges. He was also ordered to pay a $500,000 fine.
