Pakistan set to face China in Asian Youth Games volleyball quarterfinals | The Express Tribune

Pakistan will take on China in the quarterfinals of the 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025 on October 26 at 1:30pm Pakistan time, following a strong 3-1 victory over Saudi Arabia in the Top 8 Classification Round.

The match against Saudi Arabia ended with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 23-25, and 26-24. Pakistan showcased excellent teamwork and resilience, with key contributions from Libero Khizar Hayat, Muhammad Yahya, and Muhammad Anas, whose consistent attacking and precise defensive plays proved decisive in crucial moments.

With this win, Pakistan topped Pool E and officially qualified for the quarterfinals. The team is managed by Naseer Ahmed and coached by Saeed Ahmed Khan Sady, whose guidance and preparation have been pivotal throughout the tournament.

The Pakistan Volleyball Federation stated, “This achievement has been made possible with the continuous support of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Director General Muhammad Yasir Pirzada, who arranged the national training camp for this championship. Special appreciation goes to Team Manager Naseer Ahmed and Head Coach Saeed Ahmed Khan Sady for their dedication and guidance in preparing the team for success.”

Chairman Ch. Muhammad Yaqoob praised the squad, saying, “The team has shown remarkable consistency, discipline, and fighting spirit throughout the tournament. We are confident they will continue to make the nation proud in the quarterfinals.”
