Nicole Scherzinger has spoken out after being labelled a diva for reportedly keeping fans waiting an hour before her performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall earlier this month.
The 47-year-old Building the Band actress said she was ‘devastated’ and horrified’ by what happened, insisting she had no idea the audience had been left waiting so long before the show began.
According to reports, Nicole took to the stage around an hour later than scheduled, despite there being no support act and a 7:30 p.m., advertised start time. When she finally appeared, she allegedly did not address the delay or apologise to concertgoers-some of whom had paid up to £150 for tickets.
The ex Pussycat Doll is said to have performed only six songs before taking an interval, leading some fans to leave the venue early and skip the show’s second half altogether.
Now in a new interview Nicola said: ‘It wasn’t until after I was done that I found out people had been sitting there for so long.’
‘I was devastated and I was horrified,’ cause I was like:
‘Oh my gosh, I would be frustrated as well if I were told to sit there for so long.’
‘I think they had to be in their seats for, like 7.15pm, or something, but I thought my show was due to start at 8pm.’
The comments come after the American singer and actress made a heartfelt revelation ahead of Liam Payn’s first death anniversary, sharing that the two had a casual conversation in which she expressed deep admiration for him, noting that even his simplest words carried a profound quality.
