Lil Durk has been imprisoned in jail, but that isn’t stopping him from making music and delivering it to his fans.
The 33-year-old was arrested by the police back in October 2024. Hence, it marks a year of him in the federal custody.
Federal prosecutors have centered their case on a 2022 shooting in Los Angeles that resulted in the death of Saviay’a Robinson, better known in the rap community as Lul Pab outside a gas station.
Robinson, the cousin of rapper Tyquian Bowman (aka Quando Rondo), was allegedly targeted in an attack that authorities claim was planned by Durk as part of a growing conflict between rival groups.
Durk, however, is making sure of keeping his fans updated about himself.
On October 19, a post was shared via his Instagram that contained a voice note which had his vocals recorded by him from behind the bars of some new song.
The caption on the post read, “I don’t have all the words, but I’m thankful to still have a voice. Thankful for everyone who stood on love when things got heavy.”
“I’m working on myself, working on peace, and hoping the city feels that too.”
His fellow artists Yella Beezy, Ralo, G Herbo commented on the post showering love and showing support for Lil.
Meanwhile, Pooh Shiesty, who recently came home from prison, also called out for the freedom of the American rapper.
