On The Ranveer Show, Shruti Haasan opened up about her go-to hair ritual, revealing that a humble kitchen staple is behind her enviable tresses.

Shruti Haasan just dropped her ultimate hair secret—and it’s not a fancy serum

Actor, singer, and pan-Indian star Shruti Haasan recently made an appearance on The Ranveer Show podcast (July 11), where she let listeners in on her hair care secret. Known for her long, jet-black locks that exude health and shine, Shruti surprised fans with just how simple her go-to hair remedy is.

Her Holy Grail? Sesame Oil.

When asked by host Ranveer Allahbadia how she keeps her hair so lush and healthy, Shruti responded without hesitation: “It’s sesame oil. That’s it.” She went on to explain, “This is my natural hair colour. And I use oil, only sesame. Sometimes I mix it with coconut or almond oil, depending on my mood. But sesame has done wonders for my hair.”

A Simple Ritual, Done with Intention

Shruti doesn’t follow an overly complex hair routine. For her, it’s all about consistency and care. “I oil my hair before every wash,” she said. “I don’t wash it daily, you really shouldn’t. If I have a shoot, I’ll apply the oil the night before, sleep with it, and wash it off in the morning.”

Far from just a beauty routine, she describes it as a grounding self-care practice. “This oil is my rescue,” she said with a laugh. “I’m telling you, it’s all about oil. Oils are everything.”

In an era where elaborate salon treatments and pricey products dominate the beauty world, Shruti’s approach is a breath of fresh air rooted in age-old wisdom passed down by generations of Indian women.

What’s Next for Shruti Haasan

Shruti, who has carved out a unique space across Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema, had a power-packed 2023 with films like Veera Simha Reddy, Waltair Veerayya, The Eye, Hi Nanna, and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. Looking ahead, she’s gearing up for a dynamic lineup with Coolie (directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj), Jana Nayagan (by H. Vinoth), and Train, helmed by Mysskin.
