Sabrina Carpenter spills mixed feelings for men after Barry Keoghan split

Sabrina Carpenter’s love-hate relationship with men has been laid bare after breakup with Barry Keoghan.
In a recent cover story, the Please Please Please chart topper, who dated the Saltburn star for about a year before parting ways in December 2024, spilled her mixed feelings toward the opposite gender.
“I think they’re a really fun species to watch,” she began. “In both a good and bad way.”
The 26-year-old pop sensation, who recently released her seventh album Man’s Best Friend, went on to differentiate between the positive and negative experiences she’s had with men.
“I feel really adored, inspired and loved by some of them,” she told Vogue Italia on Tuesday, September, 23, of men. “And really confused, attacked and ridiculed by others.”
“When one of my friends announces she’s having a son, I rejoice for that child,” the Grammy winner added. “Because I know he’ll be raised right.”
Earlier this month, the Espresso hitmaker revealed that her latest album was inspired by heartbreak, seemingly linked to her split with the Batman actor.
“I think I came out of a sad situation a lot less bitter than I intended or expected to, with a little bit more of the, like, ‘You know what? There’s two people involved, and this is part of growing up,'” she told Zane Lowe. “I don’t want to be enemies with people that I loved.”
While it remains unclear whether her comments about feeling adored and loved or, conversely, attacked and ridiculed were about her former Irish beau, her latest reflections on the opposite sex came after the end of her romance with Keoghan, 32, last year.
The Hurry Up Tomorrow actor may or may not have changed her perspective on men in general following their breakup.
