Keith Urban sends strong message to Nicole Kidman after ‘messy’ split

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have made their final decision to part ways as the actress filed for divorce in court on Tuesday, and the singer just broke another connection.

The 57-year-old country star wrote his song, The Fighter, about the Babygirl star and it was a part of his regular setlist for concerts, but not anymore.

The Somebody Like You hitmaker finally pulled the song out of the setlist after pulling the plug on their relationship and left it out of his new concert on Thursday, October 2, at Giant Centre in Hershey, Pennsylvania, as per Us Weekly.

The move sent a strong message that the couple has no hope for reconciliation.

Urban removed the Carrie Underwood duet after he changed the lyrics and dedicated it to his guitarist, Maggie Baugh.

While the original song goes, “What if I fall? / I won’t let you fall / What if I cry? / I’ll never make you cry / And if I get scared? / I’ll hold you tighter / When they’re tryna get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter.”

After the news of their split broke out, Urban played the song in the first concert and sang, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player,” which went viral on social media.

As of Thursday, he has entirely removed the song from his setlist.
