Ravi Kumar TV, Co-founder of Gaining Ground Investment Services, told ET Wealth that building a corpus of Rs 1 crore with an SIP of Rs 10,000 per month is unrealistic.

He explained that investors would either need to raise their monthly SIP to around Rs 25,000–30,000 at 12–15% returns or extend their investment horizon to about 18 years. Kumar advised starting with Rs 10,000 monthly and increasing the SIP by at least 15% every year.
